If they are gonna replace the engine it will be a brand new engine but they might just do the rings. We will find out soon they will test your engine and if there is cylinder wall scaring they will and have to replace your engine. They probably wonât do a buyback for everyone but some people might get lucky.I wonder if that was to happen, if they would replace the engine with a new crate engine or a reman from one that had problems? Kind of like recycling to cut costs. Again, this is all in theory that there is an oil consumption problem.
