I bought the mesh versions, but sprayed the inside of the opening with black Plastidip first as I didn’t like the look of the blue through the mesh. Easy to do, came out great.
This looks great! Nice work. Crazy question, but when you put your hand above these with the car warmed up, can you feel any airflow (warm most likely) coming from them?

I checked tonight. Didn’t feel any heat coming out of them after a 30 min semi-spirited drive.

Not fair, yours look better. Does the stock piece just pull off? aka did you push it out from the back? My car is black so would've been an easy swap..

Thanks, man. Huh, maybe I should've taken my stock one off before placing the CF overlay on, huh..? Not that mine looks out of place like a PepBoys $9.99 Friday special fender vent or something..

I know this was asked a lot but I haven't seen a clear answer but since more people have bought them, with the mesh vents, is there adequate draining for water/debris?

The open vents aren't bad looking but I didn’t want water inside the hood area.

Also they appear to be made of a dry carbon fiber (matte finish) which isn’t a match to the oem gloss carbon mirrors. Hence the reason I went with the overlay design.

All personal preference… Always nice to have choices.

I’m considering a set of carbon fiber hood vents to complement the oem carbon mirrors. Not wanting to go carbon fiber crazy!

I know there are carbon fiber replacement vents with the mesh but ... I’m not sure I want to see the internal hood bracing in silver (could paint the inset) or water inside the hood.

I also noted an overlay carbon fiber vent cover. See photos. Question is... do these stick up above the hood itself when installed. Still hoping for a flush look when in place.

I’d love to have a set of the full replacement carbon fiber vents without the opening or mesh.

Thoughts?

Flush and pristine. Not a fan of the dysfunctional mesh…

Both true. I do like the glossy finish.. however easy to clear coat dry carbon. I won't be replacing mine at this point but if no one has issues with water getting inside the hood long term, might consider the mesh one on my Supra #2 down the road..

There are plenty of drain holes for water and debris should be minimal since mesh..

Water will not hurt the hood since it is made from aluminum and will not rust.

Just bought a pair from A90shop and they are great. They will even Graphene Coat the parts as well before shipping them out.
