Appreciate your comments and no surprises really.

Your comment warning us not to believe everything on internet made me laugh in a way...so many users on this forum have made very bold comments, many times trashing Toyota primarily based on the internet...

Anyway, while you cannot share specific details can you comment or estimate when we might hear something formal ex. The legend returns...?

Sadly nope. Didn't get any dates or even estimates. I'll keep working on that!

Thanks Guff. Glad to hear it's not a muscle car. Could be same said for GT car?

I envisage this as Toyota's Cayman S, but faster.

-This car is not a muscle car, nor is it a GTR killer. It will be a sports car that will impress really anyone that drives it, especially compared to cars in its price class.
Thanks for the report. Hopefully they will keep weight in check. The aftermarket will take care of power.

"The MKIV is constantly on the mind of the designers and engineers, they know the expectations, the market, and most importantly, the hype. Don't think that they're in the dark about any of the details when it comes to the MKIV and it's place in the automotive world."

That is a big statement, we shall see.

it make sense that the base engines would be true (all but confirmed B58 from A70)

but if anyone believes the power output will be the same as a two year old 440i is gullible. it's simply what the B58 was producing at the time - and we know Toyota have added their herbs and spices to the engine.

its a BMW Z4 with a hard top and Toyota approved body shell and exterior parts.
but the biggest knock is that its AUTO.... its a European mid tier performance car rather than a JDM muscle car.... thats what we know so far.

will still likely get it, depending on price and waiting time.... I need a new car in the next 12 months

Lollll, I'm alive guysss! I made it out of there unscathed haha.

It was a good meeting, not a ton of new information or anything. But as usual, I can't really say much. :(

Main point of the meeting was more to talk about the community, demographics and general outlook as the Product Planning/PR teams ramp up for launch.

Couple takeaways:
-Don't believe everything you see/read on the internet
-A lot of stuff on the test mules is not finalized
-There are a lot of small design elements that are still being tested
-This car is not a muscle car, nor is it a GTR killer. It will be a sports car that will impress really anyone that drives it, especially compared to cars in its price class.
-The MKIV is constantly on the mind of the designers and engineers, they know the expectations, the market, and most importantly, the hype. Don't think that they're in the dark about any of the details when it comes to the MKIV and it's place in the automotive world.

Didn't get much more than that and sadly no scoops! I am trying to get my ass into one of those new Corollas though... :D

I will continue to be in contact with the team at Toyota and try to get as much info as I can going forward. :headbang:
- Got it
- So the fake vents are placeholders?
- The Supra has always been a Fairlady killer
- they know we want a manual!:headbang::headbang:
