Hey I have been digging around my 2021 3.0 wondering if I really will pay $3k for the Russia special.

my ecu date is really close to the cut off, and the car was never taken in for a recall. I was curious as to how I could determine with 100% accuracy that my car can or cannot be tuned.

I read on MG flasher support website there are certain versions of the boot loader on these ecus that are locked down hard, but I can’t seem to find a way to dump out this info. Anyone know of a simple way to do so? I found this I-level value in BimmerCode but not much information on weather this is good or no.

thanks for any help in advance!

That date is 99.9999% going to be locked.

Everything is locked via OBD (right now) so we can't check my software version numbers - like we have in the past.

There is a way to check if it's locked, but not anything you can do on your own with the tools you have.

We do check every ecu before it's shipped out.
