Do you all enjoy the driver assist package? I've never owned a car with this type of technology. Sometimes I feel like some of these features would be more on a hinderance than a help. Can you toggle what systems you want on/off? Just curious what everyones input is on this. Thanks for your time!

1000% in favor. The Supra has pretty limited visibility. The blind spot monitoring alone is worth the price of the package. Cross traffic alert: how could warning you of a red light runner crossing your path possibly be a hindrance? Also, I love the smart cruise control. Lane warning is sometimes a bit intrusive but can be turned off or minimized.

Just the adaptive cruise control by itself is worth it.

Blind spot monitoring is also worth it because over the shoulder visibility is garbage otherwise.

Parking sensors are also clutch when parallel parking.

Overall, definitely worth it. Donā€™t see how it would be a hinderance.

I use all but lane departure thingy.
Definitely recommend the package.
Do you have to have it? No. But blindspot, cross traffic definitely worth it.
I use the adaptive, returning back home from a tiring day or if the wife had enough with my spirited driving or late braking :)
You can adjust distance. 4 distance settings.
Other tech, you can turn off easily.
Pro tip: You can add drivers and assign the keys. So you can customize accordingly and grab the key that fits your daily preference

Reminds me of the debate over ABS and traction control. People tend to overestimate their driving skill. I remember a road test a number of years ago in Road and Track when pro Corvette driver Tommy Milner was testing a Z06. Even HE found the car undriveable without certain "nannies" turned on.

This is my first car with all the driving assist features and I was pretty indifferent toward them. The blind spot monitoring/lane change assist is helpful (although the vibrating wheel kinda throws me off). The parking assist/proximity warning is sensitive and annoying though.

The Front pre-collision warning system is also kind of sensitive but I guess it's a nice feature to have just in case.

Nope, but then again thereā€™s other factors that wouldā€™ve influenced my decision. If the Supra was a daily driver and my only car then Iā€™d get the car with Driver Assist Package.

I didn't spec my car but it came with it. The adaptive cruise control is awesome. The lane departure is a bit annoying even on low setting and makes me paranoid i'd lose control of the car sometimes lol
