Hello folks,
I just picked up 2021 a91 supra (super excited) but I am trying to get an understanding about a few things that I am a bit confused about. I did some searching but I don't think I really understood the end result.

1. The long thread in general talks about 2021 supras being locked out of being tuned but near the end there is some conflicting info. Do we know if they have been unlocked at this point?

2. Really dumb question - since the 2021 engine is a bit different, do the 2020 parts still work with it or do we need to wait for 2021 specific parts... Interested in mostly exhaust and downpipe.

3. Having a hard time finding which exhaust fits the following criteria:
Near stock loudness in non sport mode, no drone, about 25-50 percent louder in sport mode. Is this possible?

Sorry if these have been responded to but I'm not the best when it comes to searching forums. Appreciate any responses but if this is against any rules understand if it needs to be deleted. Thank you!

1. Unless something changed this week, almost all 21 Supra's are locked for the time being, I.E. you cannot flash tune it.

2. I believe fitment is the same for exhaust and downpipe.

3. I'd probably just do a resonator delete or catless downpipe. Those alone will make it louder.

Contact a tuner with and get them to figure out if your car was made before 7/20, there has been lots of 21's with a tune.

Your best bet for what you want is just getting a downpipe and I bet that loudness would fit your needs.

Yes, but pre 7/20 built date are unlockable as 2020 were. As the post above mention's it, check with your tuner.

1. As Tsar said, some are unlockable, but you need to check your build date on your door. 07/20 and after seem to be currently locked.

2. I've been running '20 parts on my '21. I would imagine they are extremely close, if not the same considering I haven't seen any components specifically referencing the '21.

3. Remark Exhaust is extremely close to stock..maybe too close, but check it out. I am also going for similar sound levels you are and have decided on the HKS catback exhaust. It is a little louder, but gives a great tone in my opinion. I've put in a SSR Performance catless downpipe and you can hardly tell the difference until you start to let it rip and it just sounds amazing.

Thanks everyone! I read there is a tuner in Dallas that has been working on a 2020 so I'll try contacting them and see if they can advise as well. Good advice on everything, really appreciate your input and will work with it!

ECU build date 7/2020 and later are not unlockable. A90, A91, 2021 does not matter really. Just check your ECU label for the date to verify.

Shame. Looks like I have 7/2020 build date. Hopefully someone cracks it down the line. Guess I'll get to enjoy this car stock then!

I was told you can throw an intake and downpipe on without causing issues. I'm driving stock tune with no issues aside from a check engine light.
