the only thing i wished the fitcamx camera or this extra Chinese copy had is built in gps (to display speed) then it would be the perfect dashcam

Seems like quite a few people have had to replace the CMOS battery within a couple years. Some ideas in this post to solder a harness for future ease of replacement.

Update: eBay cam never arrived. Ordered the fitcamx which essentially looks like a branded version of the eBay one. Crossing fingers I actually get this one.

This is the one I have... it's small and discrete enough for my liking. I intentionally mounted it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror... not even visible from the driver seat. Just over $125 with the hardwire kit, filter lense and SD card.

I did. Reached out to the seller and provided the tracking number. No issues getting the refund. Looks like it may have got lost in transit with the last tracking being stuck somewhere for almost a month.

Got the cam in today and installed right away. Package ships from Hong Kong via DHL. Fit and finish was a lot better than expected based off reviews. No gaps. Install was pretty straight forward, the only pain was working my hands around the mirror to take apart the shroud and the rain sensor connector.

I ordered the Fitcamx from the Fitcamx shop in March. Installation was no Problem, even for the rear cam. The windscreen needed to be replaced in the same time, so the installation was easy.
Unfortunately something went wrong and the voice recognition is no longer working. It simply does not understand any command. My Toyota dealer, who installed the windscreen and the Cam as no clue what this could be and said it might be the Fitcamx. I don´t believe this because if I unplug the Fitcamx, the voice recognition is still not working. Anyone else with a Fitcamx has the same problem?
