Service kits that consist an oil pan, filter kit, and trans fluid can be found all over the place for this ZF transmission. It's suggested the initial change be done at 35k and then every 50k miles thereafter. I'm with Phantom on this, don't be cheap and just do the oil change.

Totally agree. People who are ragging on these cars, which is most if not all people on here, should be doing much more than what the owners manual calls for.. I'm not drag racing my car however was planning on doing a flush around 30-50k mi but instead I'll be taking your advice to drop the pan entirely. Thanks!
I don't think I have come across a single person on here who is "ragging" on the Supra. How do you figure most of this forum, created specifically for this car and owners of it, to be hateful towards it?

Who said anything about being hateful towards the car? lol
If you drive your car like a little old lady then more power to you. No judgement here.

What is your definition of ragging? You're getting hung upon the wrong part and oddly enough taking it personally.. No disrespect was meant. Just making the point that ignoring service on the transmission would be a bad idea since just a little bit of research shows that it's meant to be serviced regularly.

I can send you a message to talk about this. but for reference ive seen anywhere from 70-120HP and 110-160 TQ gain (off of the top of my head). on ACN91 depending on the style of downpipe and type of dyno. I had a thread up with dyno plots but I think I need to update our sponsor information, ill make sure its up in the next few days.

Awsome. This car is just a weekend fun car. I see people talking about how you tunes are like OEM but way better. Thats what im looking for. I want to keep this car for a long time so reliability is a big deal for me. And hoping there wont be any cel codes to worry about.

My Supra was tuned by Marin and I am in CA also. Nothing to worry about, the car feel like stock but stronger, and Marin will work with you to have the map working to your needs. As for torque and HP, I can only speak from the logs, but with E50 the peak was 750 Nm of torque and like ~430 kW (~570 hp) to the crank, here the logs:

https://datazap.me/u/000camus000/e50-v1-log-4-hard-pull-50-120-mph?log=0&data=2-8-9-34&zoom=116-421

With 91 Oct the peak was ~ 640 Nm and 365 kW:

https://datazap.me/u/000camus000/91-oct-v5-evening-runs-21°c?log=0&data=2-6-7-32&zoom=179-433

TLDR: The mods are AMS DP, Verus heatshield and at the time MST Intake, now I moved to Eventuri, but the performance is almost the same. I think it's more than enough power, for 91 Oct those 365 kW are ~489 hp to the crank, like 420 whp. For E50 430 kW ~576 hp to the crank, like 500 whp, maybe a bit more. And this is consistent with what people is seeing on the dyno.

Edit: Folsom? do you also work at Intel?

E50 is definitely the way to go, especially in California, and it looks like there are a fair number of stations that carry E85 in your general area. Mixing E85 and E10 to get E50 is simple. What is nice about California E85 is that it is considered a green fuel and thus is exempt from certain road taxes. As a result it is required by law to contain 82-85% ethanol to maintain its exempt status, as to opposed to other states where the ethanol content varies. Most of the E85 stations I've seen in California are Propel. They emphasize performance with their "High Octane Society" so I think they're fuels are top notch.

I have a phone app that calculates how much e85 to blend with e10 to achieve whatever final ethanol percentage you want. 91 and e85 are on the same pump so it's simply a matter of pumping twice.
