What is the difference between regular unlock vs custom unlock?
I'm assuming the regular unlock is what everyone chooses to unlock their ecu.
what does the custom unlock mean?

You should really just reply and ask them about the custom unlock, they are quite helpful, even if their English is broken sometimes.

To answer in short: Custom unlock for MHD or other tuning chips allows those vendors to insert custom code in other areas of the ECU beyond the cal maps they have access to. This means we can have MHD torque removal as a "custom" option. Other vendors have similar "custom" code that is inserted while the ECU is on-site at Femto.

I just went through them directly for my ECU unlock. should be back tomorrow 1 week process and they answered all my questions for unlock using MHD. Overall very pleased and it was under 1k for the partial unlock compared to 1500-2000 using a vendor to organize shipping.

If you have Xhp Trans flash you won't have to worry about the torque limiter removal.

Hope you are right because I didn't disconnect the battery. Live in an apartment complex so I was worried about it all as it is. Hopefully it will be OK. Now I'm worried
