Hey guys, I just bought a used 2021 Supra A91 edition from carmax. Carfax was clean and it has 21k miles. The ride is fairly bumpy but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way? I really like the car but the wife complains. What are your experiences with ride comfort for passengers? I'm coming from a Honda Accord, and my wife drives a 3 series bmw, for comparison.

Could I take it to Toyota for them to check if anything's wrong? Or is this just the trade off with owning a sports car?

As stated in above post I think I'd agree with Trax. I think the car is super comfy and rides really nice personally. I haven't had any complaints from any passengers, however, one thing to always take note of in anything like these cars and I have noticed from riding passenger before in sports cars.

If you're in the drivers seat usually you're much more tuned and flowing into anything happening with the car since you're the one in control. Passenger seat is a much different experience and always seems like a stiffer or more aggressive type of ride even if you aren't necessarily driving the car like you're on a racetrack.

just my 2¢

Do you know if the car is lowered? That would def make the ride feel more harsh.

I think in stock form this car drives quite comfortably and smooth for a sports car.

Check suspension settings to make sure its in comfort mode. That or check if it has aftermarket suspension springs which would make it ride stiffer.

Was the car lowered on springs? If the springs are stock and your damper settings are at the softest settings already -- that's just the nature of the car. It's not gonna ride like a Camry if that's what your wife is expecting.

Check springs/tires etc. Assess from there.

For a sports car, it's actually quite smooth. But since you came from a Honda Accord, you may have a different perspective on it.

Or that the numbers increase at a much faster rate when the go pedal is pushed.

Might be difficult, but try getting a new wife.

All seriousness, if the car is lowered on springs, that's normal.

If it's not, if you're coming from an Accord then yeah the Supra stock suspension is not going to be comparable in terms of comfort, that's just how it is with a sports car.

You should also check your air pressure and your tires. Make sure your tires don't have any stress bubbles or bends in your wheels.

If you're on stock wheels and stock size tires, you can try going a bigger tire with more meat to help.

Post a side profile picture of the car.

And tell the wife she's perfectly fine staying home.

I find my supra more comfortable of a ride than my 2011 is, which is supposed to me a comfortable luxury car... but like everyone else said, its your interpretation of "bumpy"

My older family members clutch their lower back climbing out of passenger as they've only ridden in comfortable SUV/crossovers. My friends in the passenger say it's very comfortable. People who've been in the driver seat have always said it's 50/50 because you feel literally everything on the road and NY has terrible roads.
