Hey everyone,
Recently installed lowering springs on my MKV Supra and now I’m getting a small clunk/pop noise from the front suspension when going over small bumps or uneven roads at low speed.
Car drives fine overall, alignment was done after installation, and steering feels normal. Noise seems more noticeable from the driver side front.
So far I’ve checked:
  • Lug nuts
  • Sway bar end links visually
  • Coil spring seating
Before I start replacing parts randomly, what are the most common things to check on these cars after suspension work? Could it be top hats, loose end links, preload issue, or something else?
Would appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

Check top hat nut and strut tower bolts. Also use paint pen to mark locations on any bolts or nuts you think might be loose and check after driving.

How many miles and year of Supra?
A loose top strut nut or bolts is a near constant rattle.

Might also be the steering rack bushing.
That makes a clunking sound. To test, turn your steering wheel left and right. If you hear the same noise the rack bushing.

The fix? Grease.
