Gearbox Temp + IATS1 + IATS2 - Help me

Looking for proper config for trans temp and both IAT sensor parameters in RACECAPTURE. I've got a 2026 Supra. I have tried everything to get the CAN mapping for transmission temp and OBDII PIDs for both IAT sensors pre and post intercooler and I cannot get them working.

I've tried the following for gear temp but I'll give it another go. It just sat at 0.

I've got 0F for IAT working so that makes me feel better we can check that off. I'm pretty sure we have 3 IAT sensors which is whatever but that's why I was thinking there was two others...

1017 is a can mapping for IAT? Do you have the rest of the values I need to configure it?

That screenshot is from my google sheet.

There are three physical IAT sensors:

- Temp at airbox (Not a MAF sensor on Gen 2, only temp)
- Temp in charge pipe (Charge Temp in most logging tools, pre throttle/intercooler)
- Temp in intake manifold (IAT in most logging tools, post throttle/intercooler)

I can't even find a logger that logs the sensor in the airbox, let alone the address. I do have the measurement address for a couple BIN versions, and the enhanced OBD2 address I believe, but enhanced OBD2 is slow AF. (RCP does support it though with scripting)

Yeah I'm not interested in slow af . Really all I'm interested in at this point is temperature post manifold/intercooler and if that's 0F what I already have configured then perfect...

I just need to work out trans temp. I'll spend some more time on it this evening...

And that's bizarre as hell that we can't log the sensor pre-turbo

Yeah idk what the deal is with gear temp...but I can't get it to work.

I know the spreadsheet doesn't call out "bit mode" but with out it you can't select 8 for length.

I was thinking about it, maybe gearbox temp isn't available via PT-CAN??? I know we can get it over OBD2 because that's how I was monitoring it before on track via BIMMERLINK...perhaps slow enhanced is the way to go? I'll play around with it today

Yes my favorite skit of theirs! A few years back my boss at the time bought me a mug that said You done messed up A-Aron.

I added dudes LUA script and adjusted for just 5 parameters that includes TFT. I'll test it out later and report back.

Do you still use RC for data logging, lap times, etc.?

Nope, I use garmin because it's easy and racechrono sometimes.

Getting support from Brent at Autosport Labs felt like I was in detention in high school, everything was my fault and I was the dumbest person in the room. Which is probably true but whatever. ;P

yeah as I was setting this shit up I was thinking " should have just bought a Garmin"...I considered AIM but their prices and proprietary bs pisses me off...we'll see how it goes at Summit Point in a few weeks.

This will only be my second track event in the Supra but I am in love. I came from a 2007 STI and had BMWs before that...STI was so damn fun but they just like to grenade on a racetrack with left/right turns

The LUA script got TFT working along with some others but like you said the polling speed is slow af...so I'll probably just monitor IAT + TFT + EOP...the other thing is that junk is setting off my car alarm even adjusted the battery setting up to 14. I'll worry about it later or just scrap the obd2 with RC and use Bimmerlink for those couple parameters
