Gearbox whir/rumble in odd gear, 6MT

Hi,

I have noticed a slight whir/rumble noise when I select 1/3/5 gear.

Does anyone else have any experience of this and what might cause it?
Or are they all like that?!

I have only had the car a month and just noticed this noise.
I shall have to drive it some more and report back regarding your queries.

If it is under warranty, take it to the dealer.

What you are describing is not normal.

I didn’t notice any before, but after I installed the auto solutions shift kit I did.

This is in 3rd gear with the AS SSK. I don’t have a pic of stock shifter, and can’t remember if it sat this close.

The shift kit does tighten up things a bit, so it’s less rubbery, therefore I expected more vibrations.

Just not sure if stock sat this close to the trim. The vibrations and slight rattle I think are from contacting the trim and the folded shift boot rubbing.
