Alright, I’m out of ideas and this is last resort. So I bought a 2020 3.0 that had a wreck and wasn’t completely repaired. I’ve fixed odd and end stuff and all I need to be able to daily it is headlights to work, but I finally traced everything I could and found a broken plug on the ecu. I looked for the production date but the side cover and the sticker are gone from the ecu, car ran and drove fine even with one plug broke and not connected. Toyota has no idea when they could even get a new one. Bimmer code said they could clone my ecu but I’d need one before 06/20, but no matter what, I can’t find one unless I’m shelling out 3k and I just don’t have it. Plus I’d have to pay to get it programmed on top of that. Tried finding somewhere that could repair it and everywhere is saying it’s too new and they won’t touch it. I just need some more options if anyone has any. Thank you in advance, would’ve had plenty of money but life smacked me pretty good recently.

What’s the Vin # and I’ll see if I can help on production date? I’d say it’s a really good chance it’s a pre 6/20 since it’s a 2020.

More than likely is, but i don’t think it matters what this ecu is now, my last hope for getting it fixed called and said they won’t repair it, Ill throw up some pictures just to show.

Oh that's an entire bank that's completely fucked. Yeah.. that's not going to be repairable.

It could be repaired as long as you had someone share the proper molex configuration. Do you have the actual molex connector still that you could use or is it missing as well?

Seems odd the car still functions completely fine without the connections. If it’s not causing any issues is that section even connected on the engine harness normally? Seems missing that entire portion of the ECU would be causing issues with the car in some form.

There is a connector for it, and there are multiple things that don’t work they just aren’t “essential” besides the headlights, it’s the same pin layout as the one behind it, I just don’t have the black piece that’s broken off that holds all the pins

It’s the green wrapped connecter, right side is pointing towards rear of car
