2021 GR Supra A91
To start my concern off, let's begin that I recently purchased an A91 GR Supra in March of this year brand new with a 5-year extended warranty through Toyota. I have recently discovered the TRD website in Japan that sells official carbon fiber parts for the front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser sides, door garnishes, and the spoiler. From my understanding, these are also the parts featured on the 2022 model as they look identical as well as mount the same way, not to mention the GR name attached to these pieces. I have no problem purchasing these from the official TRD website and shipping them to my house but I am having trouble finding an installer as the website suggests I go to an official Toyota Dealership to do so. I have tried contacting multiple dealerships in my area (Well only 2; Toyota of Orange, and Miller Toyota of Anaheim) but both had no idea what I was talking about and didn't even know these parts existed. They also told me they don't really have any 'Supra Specialist' that works at their location so they sent me off to another dealership. That's why I'm here! I was hoping to ask a single question:

Does anyone know any Toyota Dealerships that specialize in the installation of TRD parts (Exterior Spoilers & Door Garnishes) on the 2021 GR Supra in the Southern California area?

I am trying to replace the plastic side skirts, front lip spoiler, rear spoiler, as well as swap out the door garnishes and add the diffuser sides. These parts are not cheap as I'm sure you know ($18,000 Total) so I really am hoping to find someone reliable and trustworthy for my install. From my understanding stated on the TRD website, if I have these parts installed at a Toyota Dealership, they also are added to my 5-year warranty included in the Parts which is also why I don't want to go to a third-party installer. I really hope someone attached to these forums can help me out as I do care about this vehicle more than I ever have any car I have owned. My goal is to hopefully find a Toyota Dealership that knows how to replace these parts with ease instead of telling me "I've never done that before but I can TRY". The word 'Try' scares me with an expensive car like this one so I hope I'm not crazy for being pre-cautious. Thank you in advance for anyone's response as I don't take people's time for granted. Thank you.

try Longo for the install. in reality, it's just a bunch of screws and clips. It's not rocket science for direct replacement parts.

The A91-CF parts are all not the same as the 20-21 parts you likely found. The A91-CF front lip is lower and is higher along the sides, the spoiler is the A91 type but CF, the side skirts also have a different shape. the rear spats might be the same.

for $18,000 + install at the dealership...Go drive your 21 and put a deposit down on an A91-CF and sell your 21 when the CF comes in. At the price they are asking, they aren't going to sell fast. Will probably still save like 8 grand going that route

Ordered A91 edition Supra
Go through Japanparts.com. the whole kit comes to $11,800 (without wheels)

The carbon the A-91 CF looks painted like the A91 spoiler, where the TRD kit is bare carbon.

I suppose they can get discolored or imperfections, etc. Good luck claiming warranty on them. but hey try it when time comes..

That clears things up for me, I really appreciate that. I didn't even notice the front lip being higher, good to know. I like both shapes as the pictures fooled me. The fact that the entire rear diffuser is still plastic bugs me but I can live.

I really don't want to sell my Refracted Blue Supra as I just want the carbon fiber additions. I am not a fan of the White Color, but this is just personal preference. This is a great tip for anyone who doesn't like their color though.

This was the EXACT warranty I saw myself and just knowing this would add value to my car is why I wanted to for insurance purposes too. Good looking out!

The price you are paying just for warranty makes no sense when you can probably buy other body kits 4 times over if they ever get damaged especially since the warranty probably only covers defects and not any received damage while driving. But itā€™s not my money and just my opinion. Carry on

Obviously do whatever you want, it's your car. But the only way I'd she'll out 18k on some factory carbon bits if I was going to have them installed and then the car put in storage for the next 50 years and resold for 10x the value when gasoline vehicles are relics of the past and we're all driving around sustainable and lifeless vehicles.

We can source you the TRD parts and recommend some installers as well, it's a straight forward install , just more expensive parts. All parts are in stock in Japan as well.

Wait. Who made the decision to decide for me that Iā€™m ONLY buying it for the warranty? Thatā€™s only PART of thee reason. I talked to Toyota and TRD directly and they assured me that the parts that get added actually add to the value of my vehicle. If I were to add a RexSpeed or Seibon body kit, it actually devalues my car not being an OEM part. By purchasing these TRD parts, the car is still 100% Toyota with nothing aftermarket about it. Thatā€™s the main real reason Iā€™m doing it this way. I want nothing but genuine products on my car so if something were to happen to my car, Toyota themselves would replace every part free of charge and import the TRD parts themselves. If you guys are happy with the stock plastic spoiler and body kit, thatā€™s on you guys because it has bothered me since purchase. To me it makes the car a little cheaper than it should be as I personally believe this is a very expensive car. I paid a hefty markup just for the color alone. I already bought and installed the parts as of Wednesday with Wheels included. Toyota told me the car value goes up, their words and not mine, so that my car is actually worth an extra $20,000 because I had the dealership install. So the big reason for me is car value. My GR Supra is now well worth over $80k market value. Whatā€™s funny is as I was leaving, I was stopped on my way out on Wednesday, and Toyota offered to buy my Supra right then and there on the lot for $75,000. I told them no because I have big plans for this car. This isnā€™t JUST for the warranty, Itā€™s more so for car value added. The parts also get logged into my VIN number which is a plus.

I want it to be clear here that I donā€™t regret anything and Iā€™m stoked on how my car looks after the install. Also, I didnā€™t come to these forums to be judged for my money spending, I came for help on where to go. Most of you just jump on the fact that I have money and it bothers people that I am able to afford parts like this. I spent more on the markup of my vehicle than I did these parts and thatā€™s where it actually hurts (The Markup) I never judge others on a purchase because most of the time people have justifiable reasons for their spending habits (Most of the time). After the entire project, I believe it was worth it. Iā€™m signing off this thread completely but I was able to complete everything I needed this week so a quick thank you to those who helped!

P.S. Lexus Dealerships can also do Genuine TRD installs if it helps. I donā€™t know if youā€™d get the warranty, but they did want to do it for me eagerly.

you lost me at "I talked to Toyota and TRD directly and they assured me that the parts that get added actually add to the value of my vehicle". I'm sure they do, but not like how you think they do. I've got a bridge to sell you if interested.

But congrats and glad you got it how you want it.

Not Sure Fry Meme.

edit: @Munkeeboi and I co-own that bridge, so I'd like some of the margin there.

@Blupra90 dude no one's judging you for having money or spending it on CF. I'd lose that pov. Also, it's not like you bought a supercar...

Know this though, not 1500 LE not the 600 A91-CF will hold any value nor a dealer installed CF parts... Warranty loses it's appeal quickly unless you sell in the next few years and people mostly care about wear and tear on mechanical parts... Best thing you can do is apply ceramic coating and paint protection film... if your parts' clear coat get damaged or gets discolored good luck claiming it...

Maybe insurance may cover if you crash and crack/break the CF parts....

In addition, the work you're asking the Toyota dealership to do is not their forte. None of those technicians handled any CF parts at least during their time at Toyota... heck I don't even think they would have ever installed any spoiler or side skirts... Maybe the lip spoiler on 86... Not a difficult part to handle, but they can be careless during install. I'd trust the reputable shops who handle these everyday...

My $0.02...
