I think it is a solid no considering the time put into breaking down and improving the b58
I do not think so much.
I'm just saying that z4 engine code is already known.
so I show the engine that will output the x5 with this code name.
for the supra it's a mister :dunno: but as the engine z4 and supra seems identical ...
The b58b30 x5 has a compression ratio too high for a sports engine i hope toyota to change rod is piston to diminish this f...k ratio

I was thinking there was something entirely different to the N55 and S55 in comparison.

Most likely, Z4 gets the B58, and the Supra technically has the S58 instead to fit Toyota's mission to be a sports car, before that tech rolls out to the other cars for BMW.

Lol BMW would never give an M motor("S" designation) to a non-M let alone another brand.

When a new motor/configuration is released, BMW doesn't always put it in every vehicle at once. For example the 2008 F01 N54 had 322hp where the E92 N54 had 300hp until 2011 in only the 335is variants
If Toyota developed the s58 engine with bmw it’s little bite strange to show only this engine in the Supra

Yeah I think so too but thats not relevant to my comment on why the x4 is only listed at 355hp

Many countries where the state imposes reductions in CO2 emissions.
People want less fuel consumption.
The x4 M40i look like to the previous b58.
For me it’s a x5 M40i engine in the Supra the collector and turbo seem be modified and same cover than new z4.

Yep, Supra with motor should be 370-380 HP more or less.

Can you get arrested for modding the engine and taking out the filter? Not sure how Europe works in that manner
Well for the runners we put everything back to the original for technical control.
The police can not open the hood of the car so nothing visible indeed. Stage 2 is perfect
But in the event of an accident it can cost a lot.

Direct injection, bro. Can take a whole lot more pressure due to DI. Years of super low CR have passed. N54 with 10:1 tend to make 700whp before needing for a built engine. Even then people keep the CR the same just upgrade the rods/pistons.

If the low cr have passed is only for co2 and fuel reduction. More cr = more efficiency = less tunability^^
10:1 it’s not 11:1 cr max near 13 after detonation.
If you have 9:1 you can’t increased turbo bost +0,2 bar ~+20% of power without any detonations.
