Don't want CFyou can find carbon ones from A90 shop
Man hours spend hand-laying carbon fiber is the big differentiator in cost, not raw material cost. Oh also bling. Lolwhat makes me upset is many people think plastic parts should be cheaper than CF parts but CF parts has worse fitment and very low developping cost,I am not telling you guys our hood vents will sold with higher price than CF vents but I think they have no comparability,CF parts can never developped with clips struction.
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and had the same questions, so I did some rudimentary testing in my garage and found them to be somewhat functional. I've got a more scientific idea for a second round of DIY testing as well, but will have to wait to get it out of storage to try that.I'm also in on a group buy if/when these go for sale. One question: Are they functional? I know it doesn't pass straight through to the engine compartment, but if you look at the underside of the hood there are a few holes and a channel that leads directly to these vents. I don't know what's inside of that channel however. I can take pics if anyone is having a difficult time visualizing what I'm talking about.
Nice! I figured a smoke test may be useful, but if you have an even better idea I'd love to see it.I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and had the same questions, so I did some rudimentary testing in my garage and found them to be somewhat functional.
