OEM core. I don’t think they make a cast version for 850 only 800.Seems to always be the 850 that blows. @Z4m40i was this the new cast version or the OEM core version?
Ah yes you are right, 850 is currently only OEM core. You are lucky the blades didn't also contact, because you would be replacing an expensive intake manifold as well.OEM core. I don’t think they make a cast version for 850 only 800.
if anyone has any advice on what to do to address the turbo glitter, I’m all ears. Seems like most people get away by several low mileage oil changes with no long lasting damage.
I’m definitely including at least one Sebring weekend in 2025.At best 2 weekend per month in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb. Once weekend in the warmer Oct & March months. Now I’m saving up for seats after being in Gabe’s mean machine. Foolish to think I could have… That’ll cost me one less track weekend ?. SPL parts are getting changed out for Verkline $$$, there goes another few weekends…. Maybe 2025 will be better ?
You gotta do Sebring @Gabe. It’s cheaper in the summer. Like our golf courses. That’ll save you some coin, if you don’t mind the sauna testing on you and the car.
Is there a reason you wouldn't try to get a membership at Club Motorsport with that many days a year?20+/year for the last three years. Will probably take a break and do much less in 2025 as it adds up. However, I also said that about 2024 as well and I didn't change a damn thing.
With entry fees, track insurance, oil changes, tires, hotels, and fuel it comes out to be about $20,000/year on average.
Club is five and a half hours from me. I still haven't been. Going to try and do two days there in 2025.Is there a reason you wouldn't try to get a membership at Club Motorsport with that many days a year?
Wow Limerock is insanely expensive for only 20 days. 5 hours is definitely a hike if the track isn't stellar.Club is five and half hours from me. I still haven't been. Going to try and do two days there in 2025.
Membership at my local clubs are pretty insane cost wise.
Lime Rock Drivers Club is $55,000 initiation + $7,000/year for 20 track days.
Palmer is much cheaper at $12,000 initiation + $3,000/year, but for only 12 track days.
For cost reference, for my 20 track days a year, just entry fees are about $6,000 total. So both the above club memberships make zero financial sense.
Yup, and those are the lowest tiers at both tracks. Lime Rock is basically for mega rich people only.Wow Limerock is insanely expensive for only 20 days. 5 hours is definitely a hike if the track isn't stellar.
I did Club for the first time this year on my bike, and I'm trying to justify a membership to myself.
Pricing is much more reasonable from a yearly perspective, but it's still a lot of you aren't going constantly.![]()
