I thought the space invaders look was one of the best parts... besides, it's a concept. If it ever did actually see production the result will be about as similar as the MKV is to the FT-1. In other words... it might keep the splitter and the roofline - and that's about it.

In fact there is a reason you are seeing the connection to the DMC-12 DeLorean: Giugiaro designed the original concept drawings for Hyundai in 1974 but since they never produced it the design was reworked and then sold to John DeLorean for his soon to be infamous stainless steel car.

I also see a bit of Nissan S13 Silvia in there as others have noted. Also a bit of Corolla AE86 hatch.

Regardless, minus the huge wing it looks great. Hyundai SHOULD put this into production with as few visual styling changes as possible.

Their approach with the combined battery back + hydrogen fuel cell system and storage tanks sound awfully similar to some of what Toyota GR has considered toying with concerning their future sports EV models. The dual rear motor RWD approach that allows for infinitely variable torque vectoring and LSD-like behavior also sounds a lot like what Toyota GR, Lexus R&D and Yamaha have all been considering and/or toying around with for some future products.

Their Ioniq 6 N concept is good too but it has nothing on the looks of this cool looking vehicle.

If Tesla can (if they ever get it on sale) make a hard-angled Cybertruck design then Hyundai can do hard angles in this retro performance coupe as well. And they should. It looks a hell of a lot more compelling (minus the wing) than the Ioniq 6.

So far Hyundai hasn't done much about the lack of sound in the Vision N 74 but it is just a design study and R&D prototype for now. Still, it's quick.
