I found a OBD GPS tracker on my car after two months of power issues.

We just found one on my buddy's brand new Tacoma. It had a generous battery backup!

I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet. This post is a PSA for anyone with a low mileage car with gremlins. The dealership told me if they didn’t find it, they would have shipped it from NC to CA for warranty research and work. It threw 53 communication and voltage codes that BimmerLink couldn’t see.

Good find! Good info for others. Sometimes dealer put on gps trackers for repo reasons. But definitely throw that shit in a shipping container and send it across sea.

I was told by the dealer this was a mandatory install, but that I could use it to track/monitor my vehicle, receive updates if it’s moved, etc.

More like the finance company wants to be able to locate the car if you stop doing payments. I would rip that shit out in like 5 seconds.
