What does the filter look like? Do you offer replacement filters separately?

They’re my bullet points and my data. If you’d rather have a list without the copy I’ll make you one but everything will be the same, just not dressed up and polished.
again, data is fine to have, but does something like this provide any information to the reader?

"Well Thought Out Engineering: The design is meticulously crafted, demonstrating a deep understanding of airflow dynamics and thermal efficiency. "

Remember what they taught us in middle school English class: don't just tell me, show me. the filter design provides a ton of surface area - the AI didn't know about it because you didn't provide that info in the prompt. the design looks like it provides good one-step serviceability for the filter - but does it? i don't know, the ai model doesn't know, only you do.

give it some examples that it can polish up, and it will do that.

Thanks for the input-this is super constructive. I’m new to AI also and just starting to “discover” the power it has as an tool…ironically last night I was learning about loading data into the prompt to make the output more relevant!

The analogy I like to make is that it's like any other art. the paint and canvas makers provide the supplies, but the artists need to use those in creative ways. you can use those like a 4 year old to draw circles, or you can be a master that discovers clever "hacks" to create funky stuff.

One simple example of this is to ask the AI model to pretend that it is an expert in a specific science or engineering domain. That means when you ask further questions, it will more heavily weight the scientific journals from that domain. (in reality, it will discard low weight responses faster - same thing in effect)

@Loco38SUP short answer is I will post more pictures of the intake so you can see the components later today when I have time and yes, filter is serviceable and easy to get to. I am not a vendor or a store so I don’t offer replacement filters but infinity design does.

@i3igpete thank you. I’ll keep working on AI science I’ll add some content to this thread later (without AI) that expands on #1 (my favorite thing about the intake).

To expand on #1 as promised, the thing I like about the engineering of the ID intake that attracted me to it in the first place is essentially the amount of thought that seems to have gone into the part. I think it’s unique in that regard and seems like it might work well. See below:

-CF is a good choice of material for thermal resistance (but its $$$)

-they seem to attempt to make the CF high quality by using a dry CF and autoclaving manufacturing process.

-the system comes with a bolt on heat shield that covers the manifold similar to a Verus or BMR heat shield so you don’t need to buy one of those now.

-the turbo inlet tube is basically a big ass venturi duct that ends in a machined billet inlet at the turbo (don’t have to buy an aftermarket turbo inlet because this one comes with a nice one already) coupled with a short silicone hose and clamps (I am concerned that this may be a turbulent point in what is otherwise likely a very smooth flowing system.)

-the airbox is designed as a closed system (my understanding is that closed > open in Supra for intake temps) that utilizes the stock duct behind the headlight.

-additionally, the airbox draws air from two other locations that should be pretty much ambient also, one is an extra frontal opening below and central to the stock duct, and the other faces down and out projecting into a recess that communicates outside the engine bay.

-the airbox is designed to take advantage of all the space available where the intake sits to maximize volume. (It really hugs the contour of the engine bay but might be able to be even bigger on the top side though after seeing it in the car, especially if you remove the ever so crucial strut brace.)

-the cone filter is alleged to be the largest on the market (6 ¾”) and is shaped in such a way that it’s supposed to help improve the function/flow of the venturi section.

-more surface area of filter just about has to equal more filtered air flow per unit time.

-the company makes the claim that intake temps match the stock system, which made me want to find out.

It’s a really beautiful piece! And can understand why it’s an attractive option.

Personally for me I’d only be willing to pay a bit more if it was CARB approved and made much more noise over stock.

It definitely looks like it could give Eventuri a run for its money.

Well i appreciate the review i was curious about this intake for a couple months now but could not find any information about a real person who actually owned one. I was hoping it would have been the loudest intake available yet on this platform but sadly its far from it
I’m not really sure how or why but this intake has gotten a bit louder over time, there’s a nice audible suction and flutter noise now. Maybe I need to check and see if it’s still connected right.

Thanks for the review @zackarybyrd. Been comparing and considering different intakes for a while now. I'm deciding between this one, Dinan, or just a intake tube with the stock air box

One question I have about the Infinity Design: is it possible to remove the filter without uninstalling the whole assembly?

This is a gripe I have on several other designs like the eventuri where the the whole box has to come out to access the filter. It looks like it might be possible on this Infinity Design one, to just undo the main clamp and push the two sections apart enough to remove the filter... have you tried this?

yeah you can totally do that. It’s not hard at all.
