Hey, I’m in Puyallup and can’t seem to find 93 octane anywhere? I see you’re running the 93+ tune, what are you using for fuel?
DINAN DINANTRONICS X - 2021-2022 TOYOTA GR SUPRA 3.0
B58TU Engine (F)
Part # D440-0168

Easy install, approx 15 minutes to splice the three cables. Hid the module in the upper right corner under the cover instead of their suggested spot. Can't test the upgraded power yet because it's raining.

Not being distasteful about a new product, definitely good for folks to try it and gauge performance. Just suggesting that Dinan products tend to be a little overpriced, and JB4 is likely a better option if you're looking for an upgrade.

Given the provided dyno curves, it looks like they come from the horse's mouth. What do I know though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
this is not a new product just another rebranded racechip like the titan one.

The JB Plus only taps into the boost sensor plug. Dinan taps into the boost, manifold absolute pressure sensor, and the camshaft sensor.

No need to be distasteful about a new product. I’m another Supra enthusiast just trying to pull out more fun from the car too.
Hey Gabe, glad to see your Supra getting more mods. Love the new cement color wrap.

I agree the Dinan kit is way better than than the JB4+ module. It will be interesting to see how it compares against @romanLegion9574 ’s JB4 with @Jesse DaBears Map 6 tune. Also there are a few of us running Payn and Botti tunes on Ecutek we can throw into the mix.

Having several tuning options is what makes the MKV B58 platform so amazing.

Lets meet up again once weather gets better.

I feel like if were going to start comparing the dinantronics to a payne and botti tune than we need to wait for dinan to release actual ecu tuning vs a piggyback.

It would be just some friendly comparison testing amongst Supra Bros.

There are way too many variables to consider for a technical comparison.

Ok, for the local Tacoma area guys, what fuel are you running? I’ve had a lot of “premium” only vehicles that have ran fine on 92 but I guess the Supra needs 93+? Am I missing something here? appreciate the help, sorry to sound so dumb…

There's basically nothing in WA state unless you want to pay for 100+ octane gas from Pacific Raceways or the ethanol station in Snoqualmie.

You want a 91 tune or a custom 92 tune.

Ok thank you! Any suggestions on a person who can help with a custom 92 tune around here?

Since you’re Bosch hardware locked and running a JB4 I would reach out to @Jesse DaBears for a custom Map 6 tune. He’s very responsive and a good tuner.

No one that I know of in the Seattle area for custom DME tuning. The best path I can recommend for this is to send your ECU to Femto in Finland for cloning. Reach out to @Marshall@ViscontiTuning for starting the process.
