These do look real good.. debating between these and HKS adjustable. I think one of the biggest concerns with going lower than this is the side skirts. They are already so close to the ground with this drop. Slanted driveways, parking lot speed bumps... I don't see how they wouldn't scrape

I just installed a set of these on mine today. Its a fantastic mod, I too think its the perfect height. Ride quality hasn't been compromised at all.
Cheers for sharing
Did you have to cut the bump stops?

The only spring set that I've seen that includes new bump stops is the US-spec Eibachs
E10-82-089-01-22. H&R, HKS, Euro-spec Eibachs, Swift all require to trim the factory bump stop. I think our factory bump stops cost $30 from Toyota if you wanted a back-up to store with the original springs, or you can call Eibach and see if you can order the bump stops that come with US-spec set

Another project complete... daytime photos to follow (now attached). Worked late into the night.

The revised ride height looks great!

Hi. I’m going to be doing this install this weekend. Mind if I ask you why you completely removed the brakes and hub setup? Any pointers you can give so I don’t run into the bearing issues that some people have experienced when installing their Springs? Also, where did you get your alignment done afterwards?

Thanks!

~ I had my preferred BMW mechanic do the work on the side. He prefers just to take the everything off versus any short cuts. Cost $400.

Be certain to trim the bump stops front and rear.

I waited about 300 miles before having the car aligned (to settle). I used Tire Discounters for the alignment.

Okay good to know. So it sounds like you didn’t have any issues with them doing the alignment? I read a few posts here about people having issues with shops not wanting to touch the car or people being charged crazy amounts of money to do it.

Thanks for the info.

No issues with any reputable alignment place. Just depends on their equipment if they can help you or not. One shop I called used sensors that were wheel mounted and because of the drop they weren't able to help. Most places use a rim mount that should be no problem with our cars.

I am dropped lower on swift springs (1.2") and had no issues getting within factory specs.

Thanks for the info. I will call Les Schwab and Discount Tire Direct here in town to see if they can do it.

I've never lowered a car before so I'm curious why is it important to cut the bump stops? would the ride be a lot rougher with stock bump stops?

~ Yes you are correct. Riding on the bump stops is not a good thing and the ride will be rougher without the necessary travel. Trimming the bump stops allows the required strut & shock piston travel for the oem like ride.

Were there any rear bump stops to trim? I thought I checked the rear shocks and it didn’t look like it but I may have to look again.
