As the title says I’m trying to seat the turbo and I cannot get it to sit at all. I tried to loosen the bottom frame to give it some more space and still cannot fit it. I will attach a photo of what frame plate I am referring to

mount it without the turbo bracket

hold the blue for better leverage and control while you aim for red.

best advice is to walk away, take a breather, and return if youre still having trouble. Also dont forget to remove that decal when you finish installing

How long did it take you start to finish?
24hrs. Included sleeping for 10hrs, a few trips to autozone and food breaks. Realistically 8 work hours. Mind this is my first time ever doing anything of this sort, on my garage floor with no lift or help. Most difficult thing I did before this was install the downpipe and intake lol

For future reference for anyone who struggles with this issue, if you look at OP’s photo that he added, right below the “shelf” that the turbo is supposed to slot into, you’ll see a small thin sheet metal bracket bolted to the side of the block that’s supposed to hold the turbo coolant line. Remove it and throw it in the trash. With the two clamps on the opposite ends of the line it’s not needed anyways. This is what’s making you struggle more than the lower V-shaped bracket because you’re pressing the coolant line up against the outside of it when you try to line the turbo up, rather than slotting it in from the top. If you remove it, you’ll get it first try as long as you have the angle right. Going in from over the passenger side fender and having someone else hold the charge pipe snout works the best.
