Is mild oil consumption something to be concerned about or should I just leave it?

I have 21 Supra with 31k miles and I just got a add 1 quart warning after a hard 4k miles. I plan on keeping the car, I’ve heard it’s relatively normal and in spec. Haven’t had the light come on since 15k miles. I change it every 5k miles. I’ll eventually get a built motor when the time comes. How many miles are you guys at with any issues ?

1 quart after a hard 4k miles is nothing to be worried about at all.

i think bmw quotes 1 quart every 1k is well within spec.

That’s what I figured. Can’t ask it to be perfect.

1 quart every 1k is insane to me. They recommend an oil change every 10k miles but by that point it's already new oil from all you've been filling up.

Have you checked for oil leaks?
If there is no fresh oil you can check for some grey-black dry leftovers.
Could be some simple thing like a damaged rubber seal.
Or if you are worried about engine health get an extended engine check. Should cost around 2k or less where they disassemble the whole engine and measure the diameters of piston rings etc.
But you can also try flashing back to stock and see if the issue persists.

Depending on the whp your car is making it’s maybe normal for the car to consume some oil.
I got no experience in 500 whp+ mods

I've got almost 60k miles on my 2020 and only ever had to add a quart once.
I too have never had to add oil on my 2020 between my annual oil changes. 1qt every 1k miles.. might as well not do an oil change and just keep adding fresh oil.

My car burns 1 quart every 1500 miles light doesn't come on for one quart, That's the problem. I change my oil every 3k miles. What I did to find out how much oil was being burned was, pull the oil at 1500 and measure how much oil I drained. Then I put in new oil, ran it for 1500 and drained it again. My measurement was the same, 1 quart low. I just add a quart every at 1500 and at 3k I change it. Problem solved.
