Anyone here have experience with JB4 on 93oct with stock DP or high flow catted DP and hybrid turbo?

Trying to understand how insanely dangerous a custom JB4 map and turbo swap (Remnant maybe) would be.

No meth, no eblends or port.

If this worked (hopium), what would the expected driving characteristics be? Ideally a large shift of power to the right with the larger turbo and being 93oct torque would be a bit down. 500-550rwhp and tq?

@Jesse DaBears would be the person that could tell you. I believe you might be looking at 500whp, not sure about torque.

Thanks, what are folks getting for performance bumps on 93 with just a custom map?

Imo 93 and a hybrid turbos on jb4 or even ecu tuning is not worth it. If you aren't able to raise octane and just want to stick with 93 than just do that with stock turbo.
If that’s you’re opinion, what’s a viable option for those who have no access to anything higher than 93 and want to trap around 130 with 500+ whp?

I hope I'm wrong but I don't know of any A90 that made 500 whp on 93. Ethanol is a step change in power for these motors. If ethanol is a constraint, then 420-440ish whp is as high as you'll ever get. Again, really hope someone comes in to prove me wrong.

If 130 and 500 whp on 93 is an important goal, I might just as soon look at a whole different platform...

This is straight from Remnant's website:

"While you can utilize stock fueling capability, you will run out of fuel around 600whp. To make more, you will need a port injection setup which we are also developing."

"You will need to get a custom tune designed to utilize the major capability of this new turbo for your fuel(s) of choice. Any of the major tune vendors should be able to accommodate this setup including Mikey Botti, Marin Nelson, Jeff Payn, and of course AlphaSpeed"

I don't know if this is all just marketing BS or not, but if a full tune and stock fueling could cap out at 600whp, something less than that in the 500 range doesn't seem as out of reach as previously mentioned; however, I'm not an expert on any of this, so I could be out to lunch here. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I don’t have specific power goals, other than filling the massive hole between 4500-7000rpm that the factory turbo is blowing hot air. These modern undersquare long rod 3000rpm peak torque cars are extremely boring. Revs bring emotion, top end surge is exhilarating. I bought the body style and am extremely disappointed in the engine character. Shouldn’t be a surprise considering it was designed as a diesel. Wouldn’t have been a problem except its locked and not sure its worth spending $6k just for the privilege of having to then by port injection and flex to get a nice linear climb to 7000rpm.

Ideally its a turbo/dp/93tune to get a perfectly well rounded and exhilarating sports car engine. I imagined the larger hybrids or remnant shift power to the right enough to be exactly what should have come from the factory for a sports car as opposed to a tractor/mid sized suv. Its possible a lot of the mild upgrade folks just aren’t posting on the forums or are like me waiting for an unlock.

Lots of exciting engines in the 500-600hp range with our displacement or close on factory fueling or injector upgrades only using 93. We’re hamstrung by DI and locked ECUs and it’s hurting the platform, way too many big power wealthy folks normalizing port/meth/800+hp
