i don’t think the F22 M240 is the exact same engine set up as the Supra, is it? Especially not the 2021- model year Supra? Considering the HPFP is different, etc. the N52 si engines had different oil consumption from the non -si versions, so lots of variables at play besides the fundamental engine block.

That said, I can understand your concern . I once had a bmw with high oil consumption which was within official spec, but no mechanic (outside of a dealership) would say it was all good. Too many possible underlying variables when it comes to oil consumption, and not enough of a deep dive analysis to each case.

I think you are correct about the F22 does not have the exact same B58 engine as in the Supra. Apparently BMW made a few variants of the B58 engines for different cars.

There are a bunch of B58s. That's why buying the right ECU for a clone is so tricky.
