True, but the conversation above a specific towards a 275 tire and how much of a spacer you may want to run to make it fit. All I said was that I'd run the smallest spacer possible.
I'd run no spacer, but that offset wouldn't be happy in the back.
If they want to run 275 square, be able to rotate the wheels, clear brakes, and not have weird fitment issues then there is mostly one way to skin the cat.
I just did 10mm all around to be safe. Iā€™m no longer on lowering springs alone (Ohlins), so probably would be just fine anyways. But I do want to try the Nankang CS-R newest version tire at 275/40 instead of the 275/35 Iā€˜ve been running. Either way, that little bit of spaceĀ® makes me feel more confident on either 18.

You still need a spacer with coilovers and a 275 tire? I'm on stock suspension and only need 5-10mm on the front. One of the reasons I was looking forward to coilovers is getting rid of the spacers.

I got them before I was on coilovers. Glad to hear from Bryan that itā€™s NOT needed for 275/40-18 šŸ•ŗ

Looking forward to trying those Nankang tires with that profile! Iā€™ve only been on 275/35s with the Supra (on track).

Installed Apex SM10 18x10 ET30 front and 18x11 ET40 rears with Conti EC sport 2 F 265/40 and R 295/35's. Definitely more grip than the stock Michelin PSS. HKS springs, MAPerformance DP, and HKS super turbo exhaust to be installed next week.

I went the same route as you, love it!

35 vs 40 is the same width so both fit.

Installed the Apex SM-10RS in motorsport gold about a week ago 18x11 +40 and wrapped in Continental ECF 295/30. Really wish they were offered in a 35 sidewall profile cuz the wheel gap definitely grew a bit more than I would have liked. Just have the HKS HAS kit to make everything fit for now with the SPL FLCA sitting in a box until I get some more time to work on the car.

Here's a picture and a walk-around of the Apex EC-7R, 18x10.5 square with 275/35/18 V730 tires. Red center caps from apex.

Beautiful! I have a square 18 Apex setup. Planning on Hyperdiping them. Not sure how long that will last on track. But my stock wheels have held up well after being ā€œdippedā€ (aka spray can šŸ˜‚ epoxy)

From what I remember, track days will cook/dry out plasti-dip, then you end trying to chip it off in pieces. Judging by the threads I've read, that is. No personal experience.

275-35R18 V730 square on Titan7 T5-R with 15mm Motorsports Hardware spacers. Stock springs and dampers, -3.5 degrees of negative front camber.

Once I go to coilovers the spacers will come out and I'll be 15mms lower.

@FLtrackdays thanks! What color are your apex wheels? I personally wouldnā€™t bother trying.. but I miss having silver wheels
Mine are goldā€™ish. Nothing wrong with em. Just a change would be nice. And I know kaj is right. They will cook -dippin not meant for track.

You think a 275 40 would clear the stock suspension with those wheels?

If I recall correctly, I don't think so. APEX has a fitment guide on wheel set ups that was helpful. I like those 18's but was second guessing after I pulled the trigger. No regrets once mounted and get comments all the time when filling gas or parking.
