Hello everyone! I noticed there was some discussion about one of our batteries going into sleep mode due to the BMS. We’d like to clarify a few points to help everyone understand this feature and provide some guidance.
Why the Battery Enters Sleep Mode:
The sleep mode is most likely triggered by the Low Voltage Protection feature within the Battery Management System (BMS). This protection mechanism is crucial to keeping your battery cells safe from deep discharge damage. Lithium batteries are sensitive to low voltage, and without protection, they risk significant capacity loss or permanent damage.
What to Do if Your Battery Enters Sleep Mode:
If your battery goes into sleep mode, you’ll need a lithium compatible charger with a “wake” or "recondition" function (it does not have to be ours). This type of charger is designed to safely force-feed a small charge to wake up the battery and bring it back within a usable voltage range.
Additionally, all our batteries are covered under a 3-year warranty, so if you experience any issues, we’ve got you covered. We would love to clarify any questions or concerns if there are more.
