I wonder how many of you AT people deeply inside would love to have a Manual transmission.
Yes yes we know the ZF is amanzingly godly strong.
But deep inside if you are purist sports car fan,you know you want a MT supra lol.
Just maybe the numbers in trading in or selling your AT dont make sense.

Mileage isn't only stored in the DME. Swapping back and forth shouldn't have missing miles.

Not to mention if there was ever a VIN mismatch across the car's ECUs, the car wouldn't even start...

I specifically wanted an auto. If I had a choice, I get the auto still….. Been driving manuals before you were born.

Yes, read it again. If new manufactured ecu were fully unlockable there won’t be the price gouging for the extremely limited supply of the current solution. No more pre 06.20 ecu are being produced, they will only get more expensive until they are all gone.

So i had a post about this and got the same answer from Femto regarding the ability to unlock with no mention of cloning just yet (which would be crazy if they can't with the technology today)..

So if they can't clone these MT ECU ever.. What are your guys opinion on the MHD and or Bootmod or what are the other options?

I daily mine, often in traffic... even if it was 5K less to trade - the numbers still wouldn't make sense.

Might get a second one in MT however... after the economy crashes.

LOL... we haven't seen anything yet IMO. Another 2-3 quarters will make this look like a boom market. "Winter is coming..." - is likely to be a meme for more than just Game of Thrones fans for many years I think.

Sadly you’re spot on. I was thinking Hunger Games too… We can print more money and pay for anything… Let the next person worry about it mentality is the new norm. Oh well….

Since I track my car and need reliability to enjoy the full track day, what would an unlocked ECU do for me? Not being a smart ass (like my new pic) but seriously. Guess I could put a 1000+ hp sticker on the car and be done after one lap. I’ve seen lots of those sitting on the sidelines and they never come back.… I’m already at the limits with a JB4, getting toasty on track. And it’s fun! But I can also turn it off and easily make adjustments with Jesse. I’ve also seen on other threads you can Bimmercode the car to scratch your ass while driving or do anything. So assuming this strictly a power thing for drag racing or unlimited playability for engineers on dynos. If so, I get it… I like iPhones because it’s hard for me to mess it up and turn it into a brick. But the engineer types want to mess with their Android phones. Which I don’t. Would that be about the right analogy?

This is old news. Femto reached out to me last week to let me know they have a solution for the MT trims of the Supra now. It’s not ready to be cloned and full ecutek, but they have options now. Reach out and ask questions they are really helpful.
