Not a Corvette.
I don’t feel like it shifts too hard though - just quick and positive.
Depends on your DME tune and power level as well. Higher power has a higher torque request which gives a higher clamp pressure request.

I can almost chirp my tires at WOT shifting into 3rd and 4th. It's pretty nuts. I actually ended up adding more torque reduction between shifts to smooth it out.

Any advice on flashing. Is it just OTS or are there options to select etc?

yea. I’ve got the daw hypercore, wmi, and 91oct/e35 and I can chirp 3rd but not 4th. I can feel it still pulling hard in the upper rpm’s unlike the stock turbo. It’s a jb4/Jesse tune but it’s hitting 26psi with good timing/temps/fuel, etc. might be able to push it a bit more.

Well. I pulled the trigger and flashed it today. After a drive all I can say is wow.
Wish I didn’t this last week before a longer drive. What a difference. It got flashed a few months ago so I assume it was v1.3 but this feels so much stronger.
Added a few features too like pull off in 2nd and the eco/c when hitting cruise in sport and it feels really good.
Means I can drive in sport most of the time now as when in the motorway it behaves like in comfort anyway. Then if I want a softer drive I can just bang it out of sport.
Only sad thing is the reset back to non sport when powering off. I’ll debate Bimmercode for that.

Question however. It gave me the option to do ignition cut but mhd also does this. Is having it enabled in both an issue?

Tried it myself after using Stage 2 for the past few months. Stage 3 definitely feels better and a fair bit quicker than Stage 2 now.

Interesting thing I noticed is downshifting 3rd to 2nd seems to spool the turbo up a lot more than before. Sounds pretty cool when you downshift coming to a stop.

Since all of the settings you can adjust are basically sliders or menu dropdowns, I would say its all OTS. XHP does not allow you to adjust any raw numerical tables anywhere. You can tweak behaviors, but nothing outside relatively narrow window of adjustment.

In theory you could set up some funky stuff with advance/delay to your shift tables, but xhp performs a deadlock check, it's only allows a range of +/- 50% which really isnt all that much when it comes to part throttle, and it's all reversible anyway.

I despise the rough 3-2 downshift that comes with Stage 3 and the only solution offered by xHP was to just run Stage 2, but then I lose out on the rest of what Stage 3 has to offer.

Can’t you map the aggressiveness out now?

Could you tweak the 3->2 downshift slider to make it wait longer?
Nah it’s not the shift point, it’s the throttle blip that they have set up for the 3-2. The throttle blip custom option is only applicable to manual mode so there’s nothing that can be done to fix it on the user’s side.

Aaa I understand you now. Can’t say I dislike it personally. Do you also have 1st gear removable in sport too?
It took me a while to figure out how ”long” 2nd is now. I think it’s because I have been used to the 1-2 small shift. Ultimately I think v1.4 is very good.

Nah I’m not a fan of starting in 2nd gear and I don’t need it for traction because my car is xDrive. If ever I need to use 2nd gear starts for traffic or whatever, I just switch the car to Comfort+.

I don't think it's rough at all, I just noticed how the throttle blip is strong and fast enough on stage 3 to make the turbo spool up to 6-7 PSI instantly. Sounds pretty good with an intake.
