For those that want to skip the 24 pages, the 3 lending theories for the next Supra are as followed:

1. In house project with a V6 hybird + platform sharing with Lexus.
2. Joint venture with Mazda, presumingly a new RX for the other side.
3. Reskinned version of the current model with some form of electrification added.

New RX would have my vote, if keeping the price down but excellent dynamics. Also, Mazda wouldn't let new RX become a fatty.

To add more information, this would be the purported TNGA-A platform that will be shared with the Lexus LFR.

Not the GR Supra, but the GR Celica, which is an EV AFAIK, but could be a hybrid.

Most likely option and honestly idgaf what y'all whiners say because I want that sweet, sweet inline-six. Toyota did their work on the B58 and if the next inline-six can be more Toyota-ified than it currently is then I'm all here for it.

My ultimate wishlist would have been option 1 but with a Toyota-built inline-six. But option 3 is great as well.

The GR Celica (EV) is supposedly being co-developed with Mazda so that they can have a rotary engine version as a series hybrid range extender which you can make rev out while electric motors are actually powering the rear wheels only. The Celica version is supposedly going to be BEV only with front and rear motors but who can say for sure at this time...

I would love the Mazda I6 to be given the high performance treatment.

Yamaha working over the existing B58 even if it gets hybrid-electric treatment on the other hand is also a definite want :)

In a perfect world we get option 3, but BMW is deadset on killing the Z4

Any sources to these rumours?
#1 was hinted by @A70TTR and @PerformanceSound.

#2 Internet rumor mill started when the Toyota GR GT3 Concept was shown and lots of comments about it looking similar to the Mazda RX concept from 2015.

#3 was just reported by BestCarweb Japan.

I would love to see an in house Supra but with the current market, I think a heavy refresh is more pausable. The new Z, Mustang, and 86 were all heavily based on their predecessors.
