Not this fucking shit fuck stupid forum.
Car(s)
Not a Corvette.
Only 2020's and early 2021's have the luxury of doing it if you have the mission tuning unlocker tool with super license (Unlimited backup and restore). That is, if you backed up before the remote start coding.
You can update/revert any year with ISTA.

Now, up to June 2020 DME you can bench unlock at home with Mission unlocker or MHD unlocker. June 2020+ You can do the same if Femto unlocked.

Not sure what you are referring to needing the super license for the mission unlocker for?

The remote start was never offered for the Supra so they are probably doing some injection, which is why MHD doesn't recognize it as a supported BIN anymore.

ISTA will update it to the newest actual supported BIN and SWF version. (as well as update all other modules that need updating). E-SYS you can update modules à la carte, which is most likely what BR uses remotely.

@WaveZero MHD got back to me and I was able to flash MHD+ back into my car.

If your car is on software ROM version 5D 55 32 DC 05 (5D 55 050 220 005), in the MHD flash options, go down to the bottom in the "force software field" paste or enter this value 0000630532DC and reflash. If the intial reflash fails, disconnect from your wifi dongle, and restart the app and redo the reflash process again (it happened to me)

If your car is on software ROM version 5D 55 050 230 005, same steps as above but enter this value 0000630532DC01

MHD also mention you should switch to 5D 55 050 220 005 software instead of 230 because MHD+ functions will be available with the 220 version.

After two weeks of testing involving multiple restore from my backups and reflashing on MHD+ - safe to say if you're tuned it isn't worth it. The car will run funny with MHD+ OTS tune with this remote start coding and the car's exhaust note is louder than normal.

If you're on MHD+ the only way to close the exhaust valve is to use your BC Button to go through your MHD+ menu to force it close as OEM option doesn't work. This can get quite annoying overtime.

@BIMMER-REMOTE I would like a refund since I was one of the first few customers that bought your product on August 2nd. I will also send you a message on whatsapp to notify you as well.

This is a shitshow and not great for anyone.

Absolute shitshow. I can only imagine paying for the privilege of being stuck with a borked DME with Bimmer Remote blaming MHD and MHD blaming Bimmer Remote.

If your hack breaks things and the customer wants their DME returned to stock, what have they actually paid for other than data for your public beta testing program?

Fuck that.
That's like I said, anyone before information about valves can get it returned to stock and a refund.

Thanks for this. I used code 0000630532DC01, and it appeared to let me install MHD+ and get my ECA flex fuel working again. It downgraded my software to 220 version.

Exhaust valves are still weird, but it seems to be half-working between Sport and Comfort modes on the OEM setting and it isn't always stuck in open. I will need to play around a bit more to confirm.

Also, I'm not sure if the MHD OTS tune performance is any different with this remote start flash, but the performance is still there. However, I think if I'm not imagining things, it changed my accelerator pedal sensitivity. That might explain why it feels different. Can @ky.supra confirm or something?

From my experience, Jakub from Bimmer Remote has been nothing but professional. He has to draw the line somewhere, and it's unreasonable if anyone bought the remote start knowing full well they'd have issues with their exhaust and DME or tunes and then wanted a refund. He has already confirmed that he would offer a refund for anyone who bought the remote start before the 8th of August.

Are you in bed together? 😂 It wasn't very professional to release such an expensive hack without proper testing, but whatever.

Quite the opposite.

I was one of the first people to get the remote start coding done. Jakub also gave me an affiliate code, so if I was actually “in bed” with anyone, I could have easily been one of the first people posting a discount code everywhere and making money off it.

Instead, I’ve held off doing that because I’m trying to understand all the caveats and issues properly before posting a transparent review. Some people jumped straight to promoting it without doing full due diligence, but that’s not what I wanted to do.

The reason your argument falls apart is because Jakub is actually trying to do the right thing here. He’s offering to revert people’s DME back to stock and refund those who got the remote start feature before the 8th of August but weren’t aware it could potentially affect their tune or cause issues like the exhaust valves staying open.

So no, I’m not trying to blindly promote it. I’m trying to work through the issues properly and give people the full picture before they spend their money.

On a separate note, I’ve been playing around with my MHD+ OTS flex fuel tune.

I think I’ve managed to get the exhaust flaps working more reliably in Comfort mode now. It definitely actuates properly.

Try disabling “Exhaust flap always open in Sport mode” that seems to have fixed the weird exhaust flap behaviour I was seeing.

You can also confirm whether the DME is opening or closing the exhaust flap using the MHD gauges. From what I can see:

0 = open
1 = closed

To specify, only for valve issue I can offer refund after returning to stock by me - for orders placed before 8th August since we didn't know the issue before. Tuning information was known since day one. Product page also updated today.

EDIT:
To clarify: for the valve issue only, I can offer a refund after the unit is returned to me and put back into stock. This applies to orders placed before 8 August, as we were not aware of the valve issue before then.

This option will be available until 16 August, so anyone affected can essentially treat this period as a free trial — return the unit to stock with me and receive a refund.

Please note that the tuning information was known and communicated from day one, so this refund option applies specifically to the valve issue, not tuning-related concerns.

The product page has also been updated today to reflect the latest information.

Great that it worked out for you. The accelerator pedal sensitivity has remain the same for me.
