You should do more tests on a completely stock Supra that doesn’t have anything disabled and push out an update to fix the exhaust flap issue.Regarding the exhaust flaps, the vehicle’s software is being updated to enable remote start, and unfortunately, this is not something I can control. Before releasing the activation, I performed several tests on a Supra. The vehicle we tested had its exhaust flaps fully disabled, which is why we did not encounter any issues.
I believe this may be the only downside, and it can be easily addressed with an additional valve controller or through the vehicle’s tune, either of which can be added afterward.
I understand your concern. Unfortunately, extensive testing across 5–6 different vehicles and configurations isn’t something I currently have access to.You should do more tests on a completely stock Supra that doesn’t have anything disabled and push out an update to fix the exhaust flap issue.
Edit: Telling us to buy an aftermarket valve controller when our factory valve worked fine before you coded remote start in our cars is inexcusable and who knows IF a tune can even fix it.
Please do more tests with stock supra's with nothing disabled or any coding done to it as well as tuned supra's on MHD+, BM3, Ecutek, etc.
Nope, mine is a 2021 with the 6 port B58 382hp and I have the valve issue along with significantly reduced decel burbles. From what I've tracked, valves issue seems to be a problem only with older Supras (250KW/340hp stock one). 285KW/382hp don't have that problem so I think it might be software itself related.
I have a 2023 manual stock (a few things coded with BimmerCode) I’m willing to pay and be the guinea pig to help figure out the exhaust flap.I understand your concern. Unfortunately, extensive testing across 5–6 different vehicles and configurations isn’t something I currently have access to.
So far, I’ve only received reports about the exhaust valve behavior from two people—you and one other person—which makes it difficult to determine whether this is a universal issue or something related to a specific model year, vehicle software version, coding configuration, or other factor.
I understand you’re not happy with the current situation regarding the exhaust valve, especially since it was working as expected before remote start was coded. We definitely don’t want to dismiss that concern. At the same time, we believe having a working remote start solution is still a valuable feature, and we’re trying to better understand the valve issue with the information and vehicles available to us.

Burbles are only affected by the fact that the software is newer.Nope, mine is a 2021 with the 6 port B58 382hp and I have the valve issue along with significantly reduced decel burbles.
This might be downside of this mod (or upside, depends who you ask) - that flaps stay open.I have a 2023 manual stock (a few things coded with BimmerCode) I’m willing to pay and be the guinea pig to help figure out the exhaust flap.
I’d like to retain flap functionality as I’m trying to stay as stock as possible. So it’s probably a deal breaker if that’s not possible.Burbles are only affected by the fact that the software is newer.

Is this non US software? I know outside of the USA the flap functions differently aka stays open most of the time and I believe the burbles are significantly less present on Supras in other countries.Burbles are only affected by the fact that the software is newer.
For remote start to work, he coded our US Supra to a Z4 (Euro). Is this non US software? I know outside of the USA the flap functions differently aka stays open most of the time and I believe the burbles are significantly less present on Supras in other countries.
Ahh that makes sense and explains the quirks. Yeah I'm interested to hear how that goes because I plan on tuning my car soon, so if I can just fix these issues via tuning I'd be content. For remote start to work, he coded our US Supra to a Z4 (Euro).
MHD just got back to me so I'm going to do more tests and flash the DME with remote start again later today when I'm off work.
I understand that. Unfortunately no other workaround for nowI’d like to retain flap functionality as I’m trying to stay as stock as possible. So it’s probably a deal breaker if that’s not possible.
