Oem turbo maximum boost ?

Hi everyone, out of curiosity what is the maximum psi tune on stock turbo anyone is running and how long it’s been , let’s say “reliably” at the moment because we all know after all eventually it’s going to fail.??‍

Around 21 PSI is the functional limit for the stock turbo before it starts being a hot air blower.

On 91 i seen as high as 24psi, on my e50 tune its 20-22psi. I believe most state after 24 its really just blowing hot air

Thanks for the quick replies, so I guess me and my tuner are pushing a little harder than we tough. I have run as much as 25psi on the stock turbo. Actually yesterday on a 1/2 mile event we ran 148.8 mph on a e30 tune but il just dial back the boost until the pure850 arrives hopefully by the end of January. The car is a garage queen in which I don’t drive it as much but that turbo has to survive as it’s a core that I have to send back.

You are right, after 23 pounds the IATs rise drastically so!

Based on what I've seen, it's closer to what @Thraxbert said. 21-22psi. Diminishing gains after that.

If you want it to last. Stock turbo shoinot really be pushed past 24psi. Although some people do.
