Correct, not on all final editions. Mine doesn't have it. And I actually like the look of the aftermarket options better so didn't bother with this

You know, I didn't really think about it before, but I don't think I've ever seen something as ridiculous in the automotive industry as a manufacturer acknowledging an annoying issue their cars have and proceeding to charge for a special package to fix it when said fix is a couple of plastic pieces that cost probably $0.50 a pop for them to make.
And lets not forget this solution is a) aesthetically laughable and b) a five year too late band-aid that should've actually been a slight revision of the mirror trim mold. Clearly nobody at Toyota gives two shits about doing things right, no matter what all the Toyota apologists tend to suggest.

Well, they gave us the MT. The wind buffeting fix is easy enough to do. I’ll live with the fake vents. However, auto trans was a hard no-go for me.

Agree that aftermarket solutions look much better and this should’ve been an early fix.

Honestly, I’m extremely disappointed in Toyota and the level of support surrounding the GR Supra platform.

I own a 2023 A91-MT, one of the enthusiast halo cars Toyota marketed heavily, yet trying to get simple OEM parts has turned into a frustrating experience.

Over a month ago, I ordered and prepaid for:
  • an OEM key fob (Part #89904-WAA12)
  • and the wind buffeting kit
Dixie Toyota advised they would only order the parts if they were fully prepaid upfront, which I agreed to. The invoice for the key fob was processed and I was quoted $204.61, which I paid.

Weeks later, I received a call from the parts advisor advising the key had arrived and was ready for pickup.

The very next day, another call completely changed the story. I was told:
  • Toyota discontinued the part,
  • they had to source it through BMW,
  • they “didn’t realize it was a BMW part,”
  • the actual cost was now substantially higher,
  • and I would need to pay the difference if I still wanted the key.
During the same conversation, I was also told the part “didn’t actually arrive” and that I was not obligated to take it and could simply be refunded.

So at this point, Toyota won’t even sell me the key after taking payment and confirming it had arrived. Ridiculous.

I completely understand supply chain issues happen, especially with the Supra/BMW integration, but once a dealership accepts payment and processes a special-order part at an agreed price, I think most customers would reasonably expect that agreement to be honored.

What disappointed me most wasn’t even the pricing issue itself, it was the communication and handling of the situation. The conversation eventually shifted toward them “selling it to me at cost,” which honestly made it feel like I was being asked to absorb an internal sourcing issue after the order had already been accepted and prepaid.

As a Supra owner, this whole experience has genuinely made me rethink Toyota’s long-term support and commitment to the platform. Curious if any other Supra owners have dealt with similar parts or dealership experiences.

I feel for you. The key is made by BMW and has to go through their supply chain. It really is $1000 cad.

I had a similar story except that the dealer I purchased my car from did not include the second key which I made sure was in writing and as part of the purchase agreement. The initial quote from the next door Toyota dealer initially was $400 cad then ended up being $1000.

I'm sure you can imagine the next month's escalation of communications that went up to the national level.

I called up my local Toyota dealership and asked them to put in an order for the OEM wind buffetting kit that comes on the 2026 model. I had no issues putting in the order with a 2024 model year VIN.

I received a call back confirming he found some but they were technically discontinued so whatever stock they have left, that's it. Not sure how true that is but considering they were $6/each and he found them available, I picked up a few extra sets.

Part Numbers:
RH: 61197-14010
LH: 61198-14010

I have been trying to order these for about a month now. Dealer confirms that supply is low, but every order is cancelled because I don’t have a final edition VIN. has anyone else been able to get these delivered?

I’m beyond frustrated with Toyota. I still haven’t been able to get them. I may need to find a Final Edition VIN.

The most frustrating part has been the inconsistency in their story. Initially, I was told the parts were available and would take about a week. Now it’s been almost a month and a half since I paid for them, and I’m still waiting, they said we need Toyota Canada to release the part.

It’s ridiculous, Toyota acknowledged it as a problem, didn’t recall it, but won’t sell you the fix?

~ I picked up a set but ordered these a couple months ago. Sounds like inventory is drying up.

Can you get me a set? I’ll e-transfer plus shipping. (If they still have it)

I've messaged a few forum sponsors to see if they have any interest in making these possibly in a smaller profile to clear the fold up mirrors.

It's wild that there are so many perfectly fine and better looking options available but ya'll are obsessing over these ugly things just because Toyota.
