I’m also 24 and an engineer (civil)24, engineer in the natural gas field.
I should have bought a house instead
As a single male with no kids, I'm happy with my apartment. At least I have a private garage lol.I’m also 24 and an engineer (civil)
and I also agree I should have bought a house instead lmao ?
Also 27. Not only did I buy a Supra but I also just bought my mom a car. I hate the idea that all young people's success is so often attributed to rich parents.Bought my 2022 at 27, no mommy and daddy assistance.
I bought a house first to avoid the debt-to-income ratio penalty. Lenders care more for a house than a car. Also, 26 here, and entirely my own money.I’m also 24 and an engineer (civil)

Congrats! I agree, if you are successful in your 20s it’s always easier for the salty to attribute it to mommy and daddies help. Also 27. Not only did I buy a Supra but I also just bought my mom a car. I hate the idea that all young people's success is so often attributed to rich parents.
I was successful in my 20s as well, and attribute 100% (maybe 80% of it, they're not technical folks) of it to mommy and daddy. My parents weren't financially successful, but good parents, and knew how to work hard. I just took that hard work they taught me about and applied it to a more lucrative field.Congrats! I agree, if you are successful in your 20s it’s always easier for the salty to attribute it to mommy and daddies help.
Lol, I've got so many black 80eighty tshirts I don't know what to do with at this point ?Did we not all buy 80eighty tshirts hoping to win one?
Thanks for the insight on your family and success. Although quite odd given you “honestly don’t give a fuck”, we shall easily keep it pushin’.I was successful in my 20s as well, and attribute 100% (maybe 80% of it, they're not technical folks) of it to mommy and daddy. I also know a couple that would also attribute their success to their parents - complete shit parents, and they worked hard to spite them.
I also know people who come from generational wealth.
Honestly though, who gives a fuck? We're here for the cars, not how we got 'em. Did we not all buy 80eighty tshirts hoping to win one?

Reflecting a bit more on this, I could attribute some credit to my parents -- they guided me into a lucrative career where I make enough to pay for this car in my 20s.I was successful in my 20s as well, and attribute 100% (maybe 80% of it, they're not technical folks) of it to mommy and daddy. Yeah, except for that guy that complained about me liking straight lines last nightIt's fun to engage with a diverse community and see how different age groups approach ownership and personalization of their Supras.
