I bought a house first to avoid the debt-to-income ratio penalty. Lenders care more for a house than a car. Also, 26 here, and entirely my own money.

I was successful in my 20s as well, and attribute 100% (maybe 80% of it, they're not technical folks) of it to mommy and daddy. My parents weren't financially successful, but good parents, and knew how to work hard. I just took that hard work they taught me about and applied it to a more lucrative field.

I also know a couple that would also attribute their success to their parents - complete shit parents, and they worked hard to spite them.

I also know people who come from generational wealth.

Honestly though, who gives a fuck? We're here for the cars, not how we got 'em. Did we not all buy 80eighty tshirts hoping to win one?

Reflecting a bit more on this, I could attribute some credit to my parents -- they guided me into a lucrative career where I make enough to pay for this car in my 20s.

I agree, it doesn't really matter how you got it or what age you are. It's fun to engage with a diverse community and see how different age groups approach ownership and personalization of their Supras.
