I'd always just paint it myself, easiest DIY job ever and if you damage them later you have the exact paint available.

A lot of the companies use prism powders which if you go to their web site they will send you color chips to check out.
Yup!

You can search online for their color swatch sets. I ordered one of them when I was trying to decide on which grey for mine.

Now I just need to figure out what colors/finishes look good with Phantom. I really like the Bronze Chrome, might be nice with the matte grey of the car. Anyone with a Phantom Supra got pics of refinished wheels on their car?

Plastidip formulas have been improving. Iā€™m surprised how well they look on wheels when done properly. The best part is that you can change the color easily whenever you want. You just paint over the previous color. And it actually helps with removal if ever you decide to remove as its easier when the coating is thick.

I order my kits from DipYourCar. Iā€™m planning on doing the OEM Supra wheels soon.

BTW- The local shop here quoted $650 for powder coating.

I think Bronze Chrome will look great on grey. I loved that color. I went to my local shop and took all the color samples in that range outside in the sun and held them up to my car. I felt it was the one to go with.

I had my OEM wheels powder-coated that exact color on my previous BRZ. Granted, it was silver - I think the lighter the color of the car, the darker the wheel looks though.

prismatic powdersā€™ website has a TON of pics of automotive applications. Thereā€™s a bunch with bronze chrome, but it seems like the clear coat is important too. Bronze Chrome with a matte clearcoat would look great.

Dark Bronze II looks good:

They also have something very close to Mag Blue, which would look superb...

Managed to snag a spare set of stock wheels. Plan on having those done. Still deciding, but a bronze color is likely leading the pack. The Dark Bronze II someone posted above looks like the Brass Monkey color wheels my friend has on his Hellcat, which might be a contender. Wife likes the Mag Blue, and my Brother and kids think I should go with red wheels. No offense to those with red wheels, but I just can't wrap my brain around doing that. LOL!
