For why though? We haven't had any winter weather in Ohio yet. At least not the Miami valley. I'm not paying the payment just to let it sit in the garage.
My car was bought cash and insurance is suspended (comprehensive only).

Why? tires dont' grip well in colder weather and while it might not snow, they still lay down ice melt in areas prone to black ice.. and I have 4WD cars that are fun to drive.. so why not? :dunno:

But September seems so early. Where do you live that gets that cold that early.

It's okay man.. I decided to hibernate the car in September, not just because of the weather, not my mom. Just because I own a car does not mean I have to drive it. This mentality of car sitting in the garage is a waste of money is silly. I have sweaters sitting in the closet all boxed up through summer and it's not a waste of money. I wear it when I want to. I drive my Supra when I want to.. that is why it's a hobby car. My modded Golf-R followed a month later. :dunno:

Do you also make love to your car, when you're alone in the garage? LOL

I just cover it and put it on a Ctek. If it’s a nice day and the roads are clean I’ll take it out over winter. Just sucks that both sets of wheels i have both my stocks and the Apex’s have 100-200TW summer tires HAHAHHAHA. I’m prob gonna sell the apex’s in spring if someone wants dibs lmk ?

Here is my non-snarky reply to this. This is how I route the wire. Hood closes with no issues.

Me too. Just finished the pre-hibernation wash/wax, Stabil, over-inflate tires and cover for the long winter's nap. I drive mine occasionally through December and it will come out again in early-March so it's not too long to go without. The other nice thing is I get really used to the spectacular 153 HP my DD Malibu puts down so when Spring rolls around the Supra feels like it has an afterburner installed...

I put up with CT winters for 11 years of driving life. Then I visited relatives in Southern Cali. For a year after that, I saved $5k before driving my 68 Corvette all the way to San Diego with a coworker whose sister lived here. That was 38 years ago.
So I know what some of you guys go through every year. As the years went by, my "crasher" car became better and better. Here's my list of crashers throughout the years:
1968 Cougar ($300)
1976 Monte Carlo ($1000)
1973 Mazda RX3 ($1500)
1989 Mazda MX6 GT (turbo) $5000
2014 Mazda 3S GT ($30K - not a crasher) &
2008 MX5 PRHT($10.6K)

Both cars hooked up on battery tenders and air vents open in the garage to prevent condensation.
Garage is not much to look at, but it keeps the cars dry and well protected against snow.

I hope to be able to build a new, bigger and fully insulated garage in a year or two.

I did the opposite, lived in California for 36 years, moved to the North East five years ago and I drive a Supra built in Austria by Austrians.

This is me snowboarding down my front yard at midnight tonight on the first snow day of the year. There might have been beers involved.

That has to be the shallowest slope I've ever seen.
About 45 minutes from here at Mt. Laguna, lots of Californians bring their kids to make snowmen, slide down hills, and have snowball fights. We've been there a few times. It made me realize why I came here to Cali in the first place. :)

It’s literally the front yard at my house, not a ski resort. ?‍♂

I might have some Japanese made bits on the board if that makes you feel better. Definitely nothing Austrian made.

So you believe I would be upset if the snow board were not made in Japan?
