took my pops to the track yesterday - we had a blast.

For all those wondering how the RT660s felt 295/35/19 rear and 265/35/19 front on stock wheels, I have to say I was surprised with how well they did cornering. With that said and as has been discussed here and elsewhere, ideally these tires would sit on a slightly wider aftermarket wheel but obviously I cannot personally compare as I have not experienced them outside of on these stock wheels.

3rd place in my class (smoked by two guys sharing their Porsche 911 Turbo S) but I was happy!
That’s awesome dude!! The wider you go, the more rub you can get. Especially when you move over to HPDE. You’ve probably already seen the link below but here it is anyway ?

Thanks so much dude! Im also starting my search for camber plates bc the outer shoulder of my tires took a beating.
If you have OEM suspension, the Verus ones are really nice. Bob (RockSandBlues) I believe uses just that with 100s of track hours under his belt.

Just got the car back from having the RT660's installed, same config as DermDoc. Chubby boys went on just fine, zero rubbing or issues at this point but it was like a 5 mile drive from the tire place. The rear 295 is a tad wide of the fender w/ the 15mm spacer if you look straight on from the front or rear, nothing too crazy, maybe a couple of millimeters. If i had to do it again or if i buy another rear set of this same tire, i'd probably go 285. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this setup as well. Ignore the dirty wheels/tires, haven't had time to clean yet!

One more comment, these tires straight hook. My car laid down 610whp and i cannot believe how well these tires hold down the power. Haven't done a ton of pulls yet but these are night and day better than the PSS's, where all i did when i had those on was spin. Quieter and believe it or not, seem to have a better ride than the Michelin's too.

@DermDoc what are you running for pressures?

I attend Wookies in the Woods annually with friends, been going since 2015. I'm keeping the GTI at home and driving the Supra this year. :) April 8-13th we'll be driving the amazing roads out there.
Ah. The track org I'm involved with is a sponsor for Wookies. I'll be in a yellow turd

Anyone daily drive with the RT660s? Curious how many miles they last...
$490/ tire is best price I can find em. With that being said...I think you may be hard pressed to find a better tire in that size. 295's are hard to find. I think I may pull the trigger on them after I wear out the factory pilot sports.

Awesome, love it! It's very difficult to make an engine that has as much of an iconic sound as the VR6, especially with an exhaust. I tell my wife i can hear them from a mile away. Absolutely love them. The current DAZA comes in at a close second. :)

A much better fitment for handling!

Did you notice any loss in acceleration power (off the line, in gear...etc) going from 275/35 to 295/35?
Ah you know it's been so long since I had the stock tires that I don't remember.
