I ended up repositioning my contacts:

I had to purchase a new metal flanged bolt and washer (oem ones are fixed as one piece - can’t separate washer from bolt). This way I could place the eye hook for the ground wire between the flange bolt and washer for an excellent ground on the battery tie down bracket. I also opted for the CTEK manufacture 8’ plug in cord for ease of use. A very clean install.

I hope you remember to unplug it before you drive off, lest you incur some damage to the car or the charger or both. Having the hood partially open gives you an alert when you start the car.
the car is on a lift above the other car so…. There is that. I rather have to remember these things, which is very easy, than to continually pop the hatch which will eventually start to wear things down

Nice! Glad that you were able to make that location work. Just be sure you have the CTEK on the AGM setting. It appears the light isn’t on for it in your last pic. If I remember correctly you just keep pressing the mode button until the car and AGM are lit. Confirm that in the manual.

~ Yes I read the manual in more detail after taking the photo and realized the charger wasn’t in charging status until the mode button is selected. Thanks again for the heads up in the AGM setting preference. I’ll confirm in the am.
