Or use a wired connection and not think about any of this ever again.
Honestly, a bad cell repeater setup can cause more problems than it solves.

When you set these up for a house or other structure, you want to have both vertical and horizontal separation between your inside and outside antennas, and ideally the outside antenna should be directional. The reason being, you are quite literally rebroadcasting the signal as-is in both directions, and if the inside antenna can "see" (hear?) the outside antenna or vice versa, you will create a loop. That loop is the start of many problems as you might expect.

So just because you don't use the wireless charger doesn't mean this cell repeater isn't causing you to have weird or insidious problems that you don't even know about. I'm kind of stunned it exists, it's something the dealership should have warned about at the point of sale. I do wonder if BMW does a better job of educating customers on this.

I have no clue about anything you said. However, all I have to do is use a cheap USB cable to charge my phone instead of putting it on the wireless charging pad and everything miraculously works without causing thermal overload. It charges faster too.

I love it when people barge into a technical thread just to alert the world that they wish to remain ignorant.
(speaking to a keyboard on my ear) Alexis!!! google Hilary Clinton, Epstein, baby blood.

On a serious note, the charger did fry the NFC chip on my Iphone 15 pro max, apple ran diagnostic and told me HW failure. Gonna head to apple store tomorrow.

No idea why you seem to have gotten your panties in a bunch. All I’m saying is there is an incredibly simple alternative to ā€œfixingā€ the wireless charger.

This is like saying who cares if apple carplay does not work, just use bluetooth.
Sorry but no, it’s not remotely close to the same thing. Name one single app, function, feature, anything that your phone can do while being wirelessly charged that it can’t do while being charged via USB.

Bash BMW all you want but apart from NFC capabilities of BMW ones, most wireless chargers have similar signal boosting capabilites. Some sort of requirement ?
Someone needs to try if boosting even works.

But one can't help but wonder why our home wireless chargers are million times better at charging... I shall put my Anker charger in the car ?

Regardless there's a reason why Apple is pushing for magsafe.. Phones, cases, not stationary.
Also, batteries are not dead centered in the middle of the phone. So, you put the phone on the Supra cradle and some may be not covered, some coverage over other components..

I actually had to resort to wireless charger on 2 occasions. Primarily because I don't have a USB C splitter.
1) I'm not a wireless earbuds kindda guy, well 99% of the time I don't need it, so couple of times I wanted to listen to music, wired and had to use wireless charging as I'm listening as I was low on battery.
2) When transferring data/music/backing up via cable you want to charge at the same time...
?

I’m here to add absolutely nothing of value. But what I do have to say is, I’m confused by all of this. Also Toyota themselves can’t even get wireless charging right. My Tacoma cooked two phones and got so hot it warped the charging tray. Unless it’s MagSafe, my phone isn’t touching it.

Agreed. At this point, I'm going to disassemble the charging pad, and add in a triple coil charger, and tap into power for current charger. Just remove the whole thing.

As for using a cable...If the car comes with it, I want it to work. It's that simple. I'm a bit of a clutter freak, and having zero cables there makes everything prettier for my fractured mind, apparently.
