I drive around town on them, occasionally. I've learned that they heat cycle out before the tread wears, So I don't mind. My local track is about an hour and a half away. I leave them on for those trips also. In general, they stay on since I also trailer to farther events.Good point for peeps to be on a street tire in the beginning, hear the squeal on track. But for you, why not just drive on track tires all the time? I believe Wes does the same thing. Only reason why I’m one OEM tires off season is because they came with the stock wheels. So being cheap, I want to burn those up 1st. Then I’ll get some sweet 200 tread wear track tires to slap on them ?
But occasionally, I like to take my car out of town on road trips. For that, I don't want him induce additional wear nor, More importantly, pick up something that's going to cause a flat.
Brought side: Thank God I don't have an all-wheel drive car anymore. Getting a puncture and having to replace all four tires = sucked ?
