I can’t speak for Bryan ofc. But if you want to save some coin… light them up ? I keep a stack of old tires in my garage. I’ve got two sets (8 tires) that aren’t completely done. I’ll use em up. Yes the feeling will be different, I’ll adapt. I won’t be going for a personal best & I can rotate on a square setup. Once they are cording or close to it, I’ll buy a full set (all 4 same brand) of new tires to slap on and be ready to send it ?Track rats, opinions on mix-matching tires? My rear RT660 are basically done or very near; 1 hot track days or maybe 2 at best before cords start to show...anyway
I can pick up two P Zero Corsa Systems but unsure how it'll affect overall the car with them being 60W rating in the back and some used 200 in the front. Paging @razorlab
I am being cheap as I want to start next season with a new fresh set of CRS or a new car![]()
18x10 apex wheels work well as a square set up. They fit with no spacers, you have a lot of tire options for 275/35/18 and is plenty of grip with right aero/ camber/ tow/ setup. I actual run 265 wide P zero slicks on them as well and there is plenty of grip even being a little narrower. So not sure trying to squeeze wider tires will make a noticeable difference.self clearing = weight savings!

I’m with ya. But it’s nice to hear all the options we have for our cars. And if other people are willing to do all the testing for us, more power to them ?Also, maybe not everyone wants to run slicks and aero to compensate for the lack of tire width...
This thread is about bringing our supras to the track, that does not mean everybody turns it into an all out track car.
I know I would never personally consider putting a giant wing and splitter on my Supra.
Hear me out, my car is not gonna be stock for long. Been tracking my cars for 15 years and that's basically why I bought the Supra.I’m with ya. But it’s nice to hear all the options we have for our cars. And if other people are willing to do all the testing for us, more power to them ?
If you can keep your car as close to stock as possible, that’s a great way to go! She’s a fantastic track car. Unfortunately, I have the case of the track bug ?. No matter how hard I try to keep her stock, things just happen ? I swore I’d never get seats this go round. Now I’m thinking when & who will do it.
