Grrr, I followed the Thic Whips tut, my r7 is not turning off, I guess we will see how long it drives me nuts until I take everything apart again, first world problems I guess:)
Hmmm. All accessories in the car should turn off 6 minutes after the car has been shut down, doors closed and locked. Have you waited till then to see if it turns off?

I finished the ALP install. The inside electrical was actually easier than I thought it would be. Installed the controller on driverā€™s side fender wall and ran the sensor wires to the engine area through that little hole. Had to run the power and ground to the passenger side and use that fuse panel. There is a good metal ground there also. Running the sensor wires to the front was very painful. Took the driver side latch cover off, but needed a clothes hanger wire to navigate down to the front grill area. Once the sensor wires were in the front, just pulled them to the sensors. I used the sensor mounts with some adhesive. Oh, I mounted the control button next to the shifter. The center padded right leg panel simply pops off, and I ran the wire through there.

Have you tested your setup? I saw another install with the heads up top to the side of the black panels.

Not tested in a controlled way. But it appears to have worked several times in real-world. Forgot if my install post was for 3 RX heads. I now have 2 RX and 1 black Tx in the center. I figured for DE, go with the TX center.

this guy has the electric the same way I do except I had the controller placed on the left side of the steering wheel right by the light controls. Head placement is low but if it works then šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Got my blendmount and mirror tap installed today. Thanks to everyone's tips/input on this thread, it made the job pretty seamless. Used the black connector to tap into, red and blue wire for hot, brown and black for negative. Powers off after 6 minutes. Found it easier to just slide the mirror off to tap into the connector. Happy with results, thanks again all!

Just completed this little joy today. I HATE plastic connectors. Bane of my existance.

Anyways... anyone just disconnect the mirror but let it dangle on the head unit while you pushed the little leads into the connector? Avoided having to pull the plug entirely. Worked for me. Avoided having to figure out yet another stupid connector.

By the way, whoever filmed the Best Location for Radar Detector deserves a free beer.

Did the same and needs to go to the black plug and not the red/pink one.

Hey guys any tips on removing the plastic mirror cover. I have been pushing as hard as I can on the middle seam and was able to get a flathead under the seam but I canā€™t get it off not matter how hard I try lol. How are you supposed to know where the three clips are located?
