hahaha I will look into it tonight! I can't guarantee they will be ready by the time the group buy is ready but I will try my best. I've never looked into the logistics of the whole thing haha.

You have my word, I WILL make a tshirt(s)!

It looks reaaaaaally tight, enough so that I'm pretty sure there would be some interference.
A shorter bolt from underneath is feasible, it's clearly longer than it needs to be, if that's where it's close to / might hit.

A question too would be if that nut is welded or otherwise fixed in place. If not, perhaps something could be inverted there that has a head shorter than the nut is tall. I guess I'd have to figure this one out, or the other Z4 owner might be able to say, depending how much of a guinea pig they want to be. But with the nut looking kind of secured (something filleting the edges that is not just dirt), and with needing a washer most likely, it probably isn't looking good for this option.

I appreciate your time on it by the way, for the off label / non intended use that few people will likely benefit from.

Oh, and, duh there's the 3 bolt version... Infinite clearance in this area. SMH.

Haha wait isnt the brace mirrored on the other side? In other words, you'd still run into clearance issues?

And of course! Anything to help out. I agree on thst nut though, it seems welded on. I dont doubt you could grind it off and essentially invert it with a nut on the others idea but.... thats a lot of work lol

Not sure why they did it like that :what:

(i mean i can probably guess, 2 parts to assemble. 1 piece would be too big, but 3 pieces would add assembly time and double the bolts to track in inventory)

Yeah, as they answered / showed above.

Slight preference for the 4-bolt version. Though I doubt it's substantially different. When you took a look did you think the 4-bolt brace might hit the nut or the bolt itself? Or just kind of hard to tell, generally in the way? I know it's a maybe / probably / perhaps kind of guess.

Oh huh, I guess I never looked close enough at the brace to realize it wasn't mirrored. Interesting, Makes sense for tact time/cost perspective I guess.

Yeah you're right, functionally they are the same.

I thought the brace itself would contact the nut unfortunately. I think if you were to invert it with a bolt pointing downward you could get away with it though. Again, sort of eyeballing it with pictures and such but that's about the best I can do.
