You’re such a bad influence. I was all happy with my Maxxis tires ? but now looking forward to these Nangkangs ? Even if v1. I’ll move up to v2s next ?. And I want that garage honeycomb stuff too! My epoxy floor is wearing down

Welp, trying out the 295/35/18 Nankang CRS on 10.5" wide wheels instead of at least 11" wide wheels was an experiment that didn't work out well.

There was more grip but the car just felt horrible and not confidence inspiring. The tires were very squirmy and the car never felt set turning which made me very timid. The rear also always felt like it was going to go since it was so squirmy which was for sure not confidence inspiring.

I did get a new PB by a little under .2 secs even driving horribly because of the issues. Even my MPH in the straight was down around 4mph because of it. The rest of the day I just dorked around and gave ride alongs.

Lesson learned. The 295/35/18 CRS run very wide and need at least a 11" wide wheel.

Found these on sale at Turner for $330. Bearings preinstalled in the arms which was a "can't say no to" sale so they showed up today... I feel like I stole it from them, what a deal. I can't even buy the arms themselves for less than that.

So... don't use Gtechniq Tar & Bug Remover if you like your paint!

It destroyed my Toyota emblem, because I forgot the instructions say not to use on emblems so that was my fault but the actual paint on the bumper is now etched from this product even though it says it's totally safe for paint.

Interestingly enough, the paint on the hood is unaffected so it must be the paint with the flex agent on the bumper having an issue with it.

Going to finally buy an orbital and see if I can save the paint.

Supra neighbor buddy @Ruman brought over his Snow White beautiful Supra, like yours. But he replaced his emblems with solid black ones. I wouldn’t have considered it until I saw his. Makes ours look so basic next to that simple upgrade ? lol

Peter (@garudathree ) and I did two Lime Rock track days the last two days. Two different organizers. Friday was amazing with four hours of hot open track and great beginning of fall weather, today was another organizer and it was an absolute clown shiat show. I left early because it was so bad.

Both days I had a domestic crash in front of me. Corvette on Friday and a Camaro today. Actually today there where two big crashes in front of me, multiple offs and just all sorts of clown show acts.

Congrats to @garudathree for winning 1st in class and 2nd overall today.

I have a six hour flight tomorrow so I might edit together some video footage but for now... what's better than one track Supra in the garage? Two track supras in the garage and two at the track...

Boring lap from EMRA back to school bash at Lime Rock. Had maybe three clean laps all day, this was one of them. 1.3 secs off my PB as I was just driving chill because of all the madness of the day, but this would have landed me first in ST-1 and second in group behind @garudathree if I would have ran a transponder. After this I packed it in and went home after seeing enough crashes and debauchery for the day.

Since I am mistaking this for an airport, I am announcing my departure. I’m taking a much needed break from this forum. I’m becoming more of an asshole because of the insane amount of massive morons on here.
