I honestly don't see how such a change will fix it. As they say in the classics, you can't polish a turd.

And besides, I actually have a Slammer ready to go but am still debating if I should actually, you know.. circumcise my knob. ?

I have been debating it also, I have the slammer from the 86 and just need the NTA adapter. If you do it, can you provide feedback?

I just installed the raceseng slammer last week and I’m missing my stock shift knob a little. It feels a lot less notchy which I don’t prefer, but it is very easy to slide into gear which can be nice.

im just chalking it up to getting used to the new knob at this point.

Give it time, you will get used to it. One other thing I like about the slammer is the size, fits my hand way better than the stock knob of both my previous 86 and Supra, its like they were designed for tiny Japanese hands.
