I got rear ended on the highway last Thursday after the traffic in front of me suddenly stopped....

You guys think this is fixable or she is just gone ? ?

Also anyone have any advice for me on claiming diminished value? First time owning a car like this and getting into this kind of accident.

Sorry to see.. Hope you didn't get any whiplash injury.. pain can come days after the accident.

That C-pillar bend could be a sign of frame bending. Not sure until your adjuster takes a look.. but could be a good opportunity to get a new one.

I too got booped on the butt at a stop sign this past tuesday. Not as hard of a hit as yours. Enough to shift the body lines of the hatch and bumper. Rear bumper / hatch is damaged. So far we're at $5000 with paint.

Following for diminished value advice.

*EDIT: Humorous pic from Miatas at the Gap is all I have right now of the butt*

Not totaled I bet, but will need new outer skin i bet.

This is another reason I will not sink lots of money into my daily driver car - people are just so much more stupid these days and it makes me feel literally sick.

Well that's a new
bumper - $1000
Brake light - $1000
Possibly tire/wheel combo -$1000
Trunk - $3000
Exhaust - $1000
Quarter panel can't be replaced so that's a repair or total loss.. $$$ whatever. cut welds, spot weld the skin on. somehow source the skin.. good luck with that. - $5000
+ chassis damage
~10k+

Why would that be repaired by the dealership? I’m pretty sure it would go to a body shop…

whatever.. body shop, buddy's basement.. in the end, it's not a 5 min job and not a $5 job.
It looks very much like it'd be totaled.
I'll revise my posts for ambiguity.

Wow shit on a stick man!
Hope you're ok
That does look repairable, but I would claim diminished value for sure

Looks repairable, but salvage thread shows less damaged being written off.
