Right but to actually capitalize on the image they gotta make a sports car that actually helps their bottom line like Chevy with the Vette/Camaro. That's what Nissan is missing, a mainstream sports car that people actually want and buy in volume.
Toyota is going about it somewhat backwards with the FR-S. Testing out the bottom end of the sports car market and only now thinking flagship halo car. Once those buyers dry up you are still missing real brand enthusiasm IMO.
